I can say without a doubt, my friend and I had the worst experience here.

After paying for Cocktails that were watered down into tiny glasses or a large glass filled mainly with ice we decided we would have a bottle of champers, at least you’ll get a kick, once finished we paid the bill and headed for Etu unfortunately it had just turned 9 and they had closed so back to the pub…

Waiting at the bar we asked if the restaurant was still open to be told no and that she was refusing us service, say what?

Um why we asked when complaining to the manger a few minutes later, we certainly were not fall over drunk… we were told it was because we were leaning on each other when waiting at the bar, OMG, so two women, mid-fifties having a private conversation/laugh think arms around each other = cut off from bar and told no food.

The treatment we received from both the bartender and bar manager felt like reverse racism! If there is such a word. No, we are not Karens lol !!

The bartender couldn’t help smirking as she refused us service, the duty manager backed her without taking a moment to ascertain the situation.

We let the duty manager know that we had changed to Champers as the cocktails, all 3 of them, had tasted watered down and with no punch I mean after having three we should have felt at least tipsy... we were told we should have raised the issue so they could investigate, umm aren’t cocktails made to a standard? Funny because the reason we didn’t complain was that we felt sorry for the staff as there were only two on at the time, let that be a lesson to you peoples…

The kicker is whilst complaining someone walked up and ordered bar snacks, umm we were told food was closed!

My advice - AVOID this place it’s def gone downhill in the few weeks since the last manager left…

Terrible service, went there for lunch for my mother’s birthday, we joined the rest of them who were already there we were a group of 7 people, it was about 15-20% full, we waited about 30-40 mins for the waitress to come to get our order, waitress was not exactly friendly right from the out set, ordered drinks & food… My nephew ordered the chicken burger & asked to have cheddar cheese rather than the Swiss cheese, her reply was “we don’t have chedder” I advised her to look the beef burger above it has chedder cheese? We then waited about 30-35mins for the drinks, probably would have waited much longer if I didn’t go up & say are these are our drinks, they have been sitting here for ages, we’ve been waiting over 30mins for our drinks? The reply from the other waitress was, “oh I’ll get them to you after I make these coffees” not even a sorry about that?The drinks finally came out & we got our meals a couple of minutes after… Meals were ok. Next the waitress started to clear the table just grabbing stuff in front of us without an excuse me. Really unprofessional, unfriendly terrible service. Likely the last time we go there after that. If management cares I’m happy to advise who the useless...

As much as we wanted to we didn’t have a very good experience last night. Booked a table for 6:30pm and waited half an hour for someone to come and take our drink order, we had to go up to the counter and ask for some service when we were ready to order as there was no staff in sight. The food was very good however the gluten free bun was hard as a rock, the waitress couldn’t even break it in half without using two hands. The bathrooms were disgusting; the men’s had vomit on the floor which staff had cordoned off instead of cleaning and two toilets in the ladies were blocked with toilet paper. There was always 3 or 4 people behind the counter whether they were staff or not (no uniforms or name badges so couldn’t tell the difference). After working in this industry for 10 years and working in similar situations , it looked like there was no management on and they just put all the young kids on together who took the night as a joke.
