Been here twice and both times have unfortunately been disappointed. The first time I came with a group of friends when it first opened. It took an hour to receive our food, which I decided was reasonable as they had just recently opened so let it slide. However, all three burgers we ordered were very dry and difficult to eat. It's difficult to make a burger that dry! The fried chicken was very nice though so I thought maybe the burgers were dry just because they had recently opened and were very busy so I came back to try out their breakfast a few months later (today). Unfortunately, the breakfast sealed the deal as it was the most disappointing breakfast I've ever had. I ordered The Local, and when it came it had no bacon so I had to send it back. The service button didn't work so I had to call down a waitress instead. When the plate returned, it had some bacon pieces that were burnt to crisp, and other pieces that were nearly raw. There was also no butter on my bread. The eggs literally tasted of nothing (how is that possible??), and the smashed spuds were so burnt they were barely edible without copious amounts of sauce from my partner's meal. The mushrooms were also very disappointing - they didn't even taste like proper mushrooms which really saddened me as they are my favourite. It was very disappointing to say the least, especially as the most expensive breakfast item. The size was also very small compared to other big breakfasts I've had so was already not worth the price. My partner's bread roll with a spicy sausage was okay, but the eggs were so oily they made him feel sick and he couldn't finish his meal as a result. The bread itself was beautiful though. I really had high hopes for this place, but don't think I'll be coming back unfortunately. They just didn't live up to the hype and have too many inconsistencies. Maybe I'll come back to try their "after 5pm" menu to see if it is better, but safe to say I will not be having anything off of their "before...

Food is small portioned, bland and dry. Service was so horrendous and unprofessional it left me feeling uncomfortable. Slow and lost looking employees standing around staring into the abyss, wondering where they went wrong to end up working here whilst customers wait eternities for their disappointing food to come. The turdberry cherry on top of the garbage cake was the older male who seemed to be the manager or owner, who was extremely rude and it seems like this is a common occurrence looking at the other reviews.
I returned to give them a second chance as a Silverdale local and the service has gotten even worse than I remembered.
Prior to this time there were dogs on the seats, laps of owners and even saw one on top of the table when I first came but no one did much about it.
But this time; maybe because of the other reviews, the man who appeared to be the manager or owner went to one of the tables with two dogs and an Asian lady and man. There I witnessed single handedly the most rude customer service interaction which seemed borderline racist. I’ve seen many other white families do this there without having a single eye batted but as soon as this guy noticed the Asian couple do this he went to the table, sticking his grubby finger in their faces, calling them rude and demanding they put their dogs in their car while they ate. Although I agree they should not have put the dog on the seat for food hygiene, it was incredibly uncomfortable seeing a paying customer being treated in this manner. Especially because it seemed like they just genuinely didn’t know. He was also rude to my partner and I but honestly doubt he would have stuck his finger in my face if it were us. Those two ended up not eating much and leaving quick, looking sickened by their experience.
But that may not have been from the interaction as my partner and I left the same because the food and service was just as the name suggests;...
Read moreWe go here regularly and have done for some time when we first came it was wonderful and we loved the food and vibe here . However our last time we went a different chef was on and the portion of meat was half the size of the regular servings so we asked about it to be made uncomfortable they sorted that so it’s fine - however went to make a birthday booking tonight for my partner had kathy who dealt with our previous one complaint take my booking said she’s surprised I even keep coming back? Then hung up on me . She also said complaints from other workers about me which was really insulting as I’ve been coming frequently before Kathy was even there 2x a week minimum and often complimented the chef for our meals. Look after your regulars a-bit of respect goes a very long way which restaurant lacks hugely and which I’ve heard from others too . Won’t be returning. Nice wee excuse you have come back with below totally not the case was never once told that I should dine elsewhere if I’m not happy all your other reviews backs up my complaint here is this not saying something ? maybe take time to look into your management and also take a bit of pride in your regulars making snarky comments on the phone like that from a manager also isn’t appreciated and I don’t tolerate disrespect like that . Yes the manager on the phone was very rude the call was on loudspeaker and a lot of us were shocked . Again I was coming for a birthday dinner like I always have here but won’t be...
