Worst McDonalds experience ever. I was simply prohibited from ordering my food. When I walked in and waited by the counter to be attended someone came from the kitchen and told me that they were closed. I said I just wanted to have a takeaway order, like the cars they were serving at the drive-thru. The guy said they were closed again and I should go to the drive-thru. I told him he should turn the lights off and lock the doors then, and went to the car line to try and order my food.
Getting there, the guy on the speaker said he couldn't let me go by foot because it was dangerous. I tried explaining the situation and the guy called his manager, to which i had to explain the situation again and ask what should I do to be attended there. The manager just said that I should get a car. Yeah, sure, spend thousands of dollars just so I can buy a burger, easy peasy. I live close by, even if I had a car I wouldn't drive it just to get a burger at the corner of my house.
When I came empty handed my flatmate asked what happened and I explained the ridiculous treatment. He couldn't believe this stupid situation and decide to give me a ride. When we got in line to order, we saw more customers going in and out from the dine-in area, probably having similar experiences to mine.
When making my order, they said they didn't sell any chicken McBites, even though it was highlighted on the menu with a big "we're back" slogan (or something like that). I had to insist that it was on the menu 3 times before the guy noticed that in fact they sell it. However I regretted ordering it, since it's not chicken bites, it's more like chicken pills since they're so damn tiny.
Just to make a note: there's even a courier area where delivery drivers can come by and pickup orders. I just can't understand why i couldn't have a damn pickup order for myself. I even checked on doordash, i could order McDonalds there and it would of course charge more because of driver's service. However, even on the app it doesn't let me pickup myself. Basically I should either buy a car in order to be able to buy a burger OR order through an app and pay more so a delivery guy walks a block from the pickup point to my home. It's just so stupid... I'm never going back to this...
Read moreThe drive-thru system at McDonald’s Silverdale is fundamentally broken. On one visit, I witnessed the cashier take two consecutive orders from the same lane, leaving customers in the other lane, who had arrived earlier waiting far longer than necessary. To make matters worse, the second car in that favored lane had even arrived later than us. On another visit, I patiently waited while a customer in the other lane took an excessively long time to order and pay. By the time the cashier was finally able to take my order, it had just ticked over to 11:03 AM. I was told that the breakfast menu was no longer available. This was especially frustrating given that the customer before me, who was still ordering when the cutoff passed, was allowed to order from the breakfast menu. This is completely unacceptable. If McDonald's enforces a strict breakfast cutoff, then the system should account for customers already in the queue before the deadline. It is unfair and frankly disrespectful to deny service to customers who were clearly waiting in line before the cutoff, simply due to inefficiencies in your own drive-thru operations. This experience has completely undermined my trust and loyalty as a long-time customer. Do better, McDonald’s Silverdale because you’ve just lost someone who used to...
Read moreIt just happened tonight. I am extremely disappointed and shocked by the poor customer service and the incredibly rude attitude displayed by the manager at Silverdale MCDonload’s drive-through.
We redeemed two offers via the mobile app and placed our order at the reception window. However, when we reached the pickup window, the manager claimed he could only see one order on his screen. We politely asked him to check with the reception, but he refused, insisting he only goes by what appears on the screen. Even after we showed him the screenshots of the two redeemed offers on our phone, he dismissed our request and refused to verify the issue with the reception.
It was late at night, and there were several customers in the drive-through queue. Despite this, the manager finally, and very reluctantly, gave us the second order. To our surprise, he then rudely told us, “DON’T COME BACK HERE AGAIN,” which was completely unacceptable.
This has been the worst experience we’ve ever had at a McDonald’s. The behavior was unprofessional, unfriendly, and utterly disappointing. I hope this issue can be addressed, as this is not the level of service we expect from a brand...
