Ordering outside the westernised classics (sweet and sour chicken etc) is the way to go for fresher, lighter dishes with well balanced flavours and hand-made noodles & wontons …. we were unimpressed when we had delivery but dining in we ate really well (see difference in pix). The place is undoubtedly run-down and I doubt anything has been redecorated or renovated since the early 90’s, but it’s clean and the food is affordable, generous in portion and quite delicious (if a little over sauced & seasoned). Noodle texture is very inconsistent, either the large strips are undercooked and raw, or its cooked nicely but the thin ones are super mushy. Ordered a takeaway this time, and they definitely improved on the noodles. It was still chewy and had texture after 20mins of eating it. He had the guts to shout because knowing my friend is from China too. A number of dishes my friend was ordering were not available hence she went from one dish to other. There was only 1 staff on the floor to take orders, collect payments, clean the tables & deliver the food. Feel sorry for the girl! Food wasn't that great actually!
