Columbus Coffee — Restaurant in Invercargill City

Came here as a family to enjoy some nice food, but left severely disappointed. Ordered three sausage rolls, a tomato and cheese croissant, and some loaded fries. All but the croissant and one of the sausage rolls came out cold in the centre, which we sent back to be reheated. The fries were barely cooked and tasted very average. We also attempted to order fries as it was listed as a side (P.O.A) but was promptly told that the sides had to be added to a main order! If the sides are not allowed to be purchased on their own, indicate that. Other cafes allow people to order sides separately, but this was frankly ridiculous. BLT on the day - fresh and tasty. Comfortable seating. Warehouse feel. Counter a bit cluttered. Cabinet food always looks delicious. Staff friendly - however I was told I had got a free coffee with my meal - however when I got home discovered points had been taken off - so the coffee wasnt actually free at all. I did receive an email a week ago, suggesting a spend and could get a coffee at a reduced point amount - this suggests choice and not an automatic deduction. Ordered LOADED FRIES. What we received was half cooked fries but with everything on it. It was terrible. Spoke to the lady at the counter advising her that the fries were soggy and very much undercooked. Her reaction was ok for a start, asking me what was she to do about it? I said nothing except to make sure the chips are really cooked for the next customer. I was informed that she laughed behind my back as I was leaving. This is so NOT good service.
