Today I wasn't impressed with my takeaway experience at The batch Cafe. I always order there for my boss lunch and I like their food. As a google local guide I think this cafe is one of the best cafe we have in Invercargill but today's experience with one of staff wasn't great at all. I have experienced working in customer service and it's very important to have a great customer service satisfaction. Working as frontier, your actions towards your customers and how you deal with customers is very vital because you are the face of the company. If customer is not satisfied or unhappy of the service the name of the company is being dragged. Like today, I ordered for takeaway and the lady that served me just put my order on the table knowing that they are packed individually, it wasn't even close. I'm holding my phone on my right hand and keys on my left hand I looked at her and looked at my takeaway which were partially close she didn't even hesitate to offer me a bag when I was struggling to pick them up. My point is, staff should be sensible, I get it they are busy but that time there were two ladies (staff)in front of me. The way she looked at me seems makes me feel like (hey is it because I'm Asian or what?) Or it's just me? Well I never get wrong with my gut feeling. Anyway the whole point here is. Customer service satisfaction at its best! So I have to asked the lady if I can have a bag and yes she gave me a bag after all. Just sharing my not so happy experience so that next time hopefully I'll be treated well...

So good. I've eaten here a few times before and never been disappointed but today was out of the box! My old mum was in a wheelchair and access was pretty good and seating was even better. Selection of fare is generally varied and generous but my brother and his daughter are both Vegan. None of us were unhappy with our choices with both food and drink and all of us were commending the delivery, presentation and production of our meals. The decor is relaxed and mixed depending on your needs for a busy cafe that attracts both social visitors and hot desk workers. The cabinet is vast and varied and the barrista excellent. When this cafe opened a few years ago, its calm busyness and its extensive offerings made it a repeat-custom haven for both locals and visitors alike. I'm so glad to see that it's business as usual for a professional and assured team that always delivers on...

This is definitely my favorite cafè in Invercargill. They are ultimate professionals. I went in when they were getting slammed and the attention to detail was still apparent. I queued for less than 5 minutes and it was my turn to be seated or place an order. The woman behind the counter said “I will be with you very soon” finished her previous dockets and took a pause to compose herself, then served. It showed that even under pressure, her focus was sharp for her next customer. I ordered a Macchiato, flat white and BLT sub. I didn't give a size for the coffees and when they arrived the Machiato was short, the flat white was regular and the sub was toasted and garnished. That, to me was exactly what I would have ordered the sizes and finished the sub. The atmosphere was buzzing and the table service was on point. A great dining experience. Recommend this cafè...

I've always been impressed with the consistent level of service offered at this gem of a luxury cafe and restaurant 👌 Gareth and his wife from the beginning right up now since they sold the business to the Fabulous Kate. You're absolutely amazing and now stamping your own special ❤ into this amazing place along with your brilliant team there. You're always warmly welcomed, making you feel right at home. The food is fantastic and always consistent each and every day, week, month and year. Truly brilliant. One of the best if not 2nd to none coffee providers in Invercargill. Try Kate's creamy seafood chowder shown here in the photos but I got mine to go, highly recommend it and so delicious. You can never be disappointed with this pearl of a cafe. Well done Kate and the team that make The Batch.. The Best 😊

This beautiful cafe was a fun surprise on my trip to Invercargill. It came recommended by friends and is, in my opinion, my new fave! The atmosphere cosy, and inviting, and the staff are wonderful. With a menu full of some of the stock standard cafe options and some fun new options to choose from, It was refreshing. As a professional coffee snob, I can confirm they have very rich but sweet espresso. I was in heaven! I ordered the overnight oats, soaked in passionfruit and coconut, with the pumpkin seed butter and passionfruit, and im still thinking about it! Amazing combo of sweet and salty that blew me away! I ended up going back twice more, and the below photos were the eggs Benedict with bacon and the Vietnamese Pancake. *chefs kiss

OMG I had the most delicious gluten free lunch here. Salmon and potato ball with a fresh and delicious side salad. As a coeliac, I didn't feel at all sick after it, so I would suggest the food is prepared well from a cross-contamination perspective. I have eaten here a few times over the years and have never been ill. All I wish is that I took some of those tasty treats away with me! I'll definitely be back here. A place we always go to when down in Invercargill. The only problem with this place is that it's always so busy. But great vibe and highly recommend. If you are a coeliac please do recheck when you go there about any of your concerns.
