Loafer's Bakery — Restaurant in Kaipātiki

A very good local Bakery, I wouldn't say thee BEST like all there reviews state.But, definitely top notch and worth the visit for a pie if your on the Northshore. I worked @Goldstar bakery,now rebranded as Patrick's Pies and feel the reviews over rated Loafers bakery for my first time visiting today,which left me a little disappointed as I was expecting AMAZING and award winning quality. which it wasn't,it came very close tho. I had the $6.50 Mince and cheese because @1.30pm when I visited,they had no other flavours in the warmer apart from plain steak and plain mince, The pie had Excellent pastry with a good amount of cheese and nice smooth consistency on the mince,it wasn't gloopy or jelly like. If I had to change anything it would be add a pinch more seasoning to the mince and it's a perfect 10/10. Ample free parking in front of the store and to the side, close proximity to a diary lotto shop and fish n chip shop. Recommended to all, just one star shy of a perfect...

I can't recommend Loafers enough! While staying with family on the shore, we discovered this bakery and I've been going there for three days in a row. The food is absolutely delicious and their pie selection is top-notch. I had the steak and mushroom pie, the steak and cheese pie with an amazing flaky crust and a great steak-to-gravy ratio. The Nutella filled donut was light and fluffy, with the perfect amount of Nutella – it was amazing! I also tried the bacon and egg slice, which had fluffy eggs and a flaky pastry crust. I'm convinced that Loafers Bakery is worth every cent and I would happily make the drive from West Auckland to indulge in their incredible food. Hands down, this is the best bakery I've...

Update: "The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts" - food for thought as I received more 5-star service and food to stick in my freezer! 🫶 Previous comment: I'm afraid to tell others about Loafers for FOMO...but visit, you will not be disappointed! I suggest willpower if watching your waistline.

My favs are the vege pie, bacon and egg quiche and ginger slice. Mr Jay salivates over a chicken cranberry pie and brownie.

Staff are lovely with hygienic practices. Shop is clean and the aroma is of fresh baking, no stale odours. Parking easier prior to usual feeding times ;)...
