We attended for a large group meal and we were well impressed with the tastiness of this food. We tried a variety of dishes and I would recommend them all >> go on - try something new!! Vegetable Pakora, Samosa, Chicken Tikka, Nawabi Seekh Kebab, Chicken Korma, Mango Chicken (very sweet), Lamb Madras, Lamb Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan. We can't wait to go back!! (no food photos as we were too busy eating)

We went here with no expectations and left extremely impressed. We started with the 4 popadoms with various chutney. I had an old favourite for my main work a garlic naan. I loved the malai kofta. Mr had the lamb bhuna and for the first time in a long time, he ordered hot and it was! We eat a lot of Indian food and would go back here if up that way again, do it!

I’m from Auckland and whenever I drive to Wellington I take a longer route just to be able to have dinner here. The food is 10/10 and the staff are super friendly. We even told the owner that they should open a restaurant in Auckland! Also the cheese naan is out of this world. 100% would recommend.

decided to give this place a go as we’d heard good things about it.. unfortunately our expectations were not met. As an entree we ordered tandoori chicken, which would’ve been ok if there wasn’t a long hair tangled through it. For our mains we ordered 2 naans, butter chicken, and Jalfarezi. The naan and rice was good, yet the curries were so bitter and overpowering it was hard to finish them, and we didn’t (you’ll see why). Our drinks were good (mango lassi and a bourbon and Coke), however (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART), we were unable to finish them. The reason being that there were sandflies flying around EVERYWHERE! They flew into our drinks and got into our food also. I’ve never left a bad review for any restaurant before. Would...

I ordered takeaways from here expecting it to be great but unfortunately it wasn't. I got told that it was going to be 20 minutes I was waiting nearly an hour and the people that were dining in the restaurant that had ordered after me had gotten there meals and were leaving before I had even gotten mine. I live over an hour out of taumarunui and when I got home I found out that the 3 dishes I had ordered were all incorrect including the Naan bread. I was very disappointed and will not be going back. This is is the second time this has happened very...

Disappointed tonight. As a group of 5 we came back to Taumarunui to have a reunion, have a good time, and spend money in the town. As time was getting on, we called ahead to Monsoon to confirm when we could get a table for dinner and drinks. We were given a time for last walk ins, and arrived 10 minutes before this, only to be told they would be closing soon and could not accommodate us... walked out very disappointed and spent our significant money elsewhere... won’t go back for service...
