Seen the signs on both sides into Taumarunui and thought we would give it a go after a long days work we were looking forward to a feed of nice fresh fish and chips. But was highly disappointed when we opened it up the chips looked like they must have been from the runts of the potatoes in the bag didn't resemble a normal chip at all. Surprised to see some people mentioned it's the best fish and chips in New Zealand. I reckon it's the worst fish and chips I had in my life! It was awfully soggy. The batter was just attrocious. Got a No. 2 meal for takeaway to eat on the drive back to Auckland. It was about a 20 minute wait since they were quite busy. they do quite a lot of different foods like pizza, chicken and burgers, but I just stuck with traditional fish and chips.
