Mothership — Restaurant in Manawatū-Whanganui

The few reviews led us to expect above average food but Mothership fully exceeded our expectations. I had crispy salmon and an improved ice cream sundae, and finished off a friend's creme brule. The salmon with salad was tasty and perfectly cooked, though smaller than I desired. Of the rest, the Arancini Ball entree was the best. Overall, our dinner was a definite 9 out of 10. Went there because my friends wanted to try the beer. We had dinner too - What a mistake that was. I ordered the mussels and they were off. I couldn't eat them cos they stank. My friends' meals were served cold and when they finally came back they were mediocre. What an awesome place atmosphere was great and also the food. I had the chilli mussels with coconut cream and white wine sauce OMG I even took some back to the motel. The boy's had an entree and the chicken carbonara and they said that was great as well. To the staff sorry I asked for my mussels early i didn't realize I had a starter until the boys told me.
