Feedback on the APP and St Johns Subway Whanganui.
You need to set the ingredients choice panel to no indredients selected when we open the app. That wrap I ordered should not have had tomato in it. I deselected tomato that was already selected but the order went through with tomato in it. Also. Those wraps are not worth $12+ bucks for the basic wrap no extras. They are less than the size of a 6 inch sub and are a total rort and a rip off at the basic price. People who have food allergies should NOT have to pay double just to eat out. My 80 year old mother cant afford over $12 bucks for the size that thing was. You can see the basic ingredients that she had on my subway membership. The portion size was pathetic. 2 bits of cheese, a miniscule amount of lettuce and other ingredients. The girl that made that needs retraining.
I also ordered 2 footlong subs on the app and walked in to watch them make my order up. She used the scrapings of the practically dead lettuce on the first sub which didnt cover the bun properly and after getting a new lettuce bin, wasnt going to add the correct amount of lettuce to the bun. I had to ask her to add more, twice. She also doesnt know how to cut a footlong into 4 equal sized portions as requested, for my diabetic kid. She was about to start cutting each quarter from one end and I had to say cut it in half first then the halves in half. All 'quarters' were different sizes. Perhaps subway could teach new staff what a half and equal quarters are when training them?
Im going to copy this into Google reviews and on facebook thats how pist off I am at what that wrap looked like, and the fact that if you order from the app you are likely to get ingredients that are past their use by and a smaller portion of everything because you arent in there watching it being made. I didnt notice the dead lettuce, my mother told me afterwards that it was scrapings from the bottom of the old bin. They didnt toast the buns either. I go to that subway when we go to town, we live rural so its once a month ish and Im new to the app. Thats the second time ordering through the app and I had no problem with the footlong I got from Bulls last week. They know my diabetic kid and make a decent subway and can cut equal sized quarters knowing that portion size is important to diabetics.
I hadnt seen that staff member before but she needs retraining because shes bad for your business. Id be horrified if I owned that subway and one of my staff was serving up what she does to my customers.

Read moreWas an alright experience, worthy of a 3 star. I went in at 5.30pm, granted they were busy. Got a sub of the day as my dinner, I was pretty hungry so I was looking forward to all the salads on this bad boy. Unfortunately salad guy was super rushed, loaded me up with lettuce as they do but minimal amounts of everything else. Literally two olives. And when I say two, they are sliced so two slices of an olive, probably a quarter of an actual olive. Bro. Had to ask the next person to put a few extra on. Couldn't be bothered to ask for more of every salad item but man, more than 3 pickles too and have some pride when you're putting it on, not throwing everything on one third of the sandwich. So yes, it was busy but a bit more care could have been taken to make my sub lets be fair. Bald middle aged guy I'm looking at you. Other staff were great. Maybe stick to till next...
Read moreWorst service I’ve ever had. I’ve been to this store twice and both times had pathetic service. Once accidentally ordered online from this store and told I had to come in to get refund. When I went in I was told I couldn’t get my refund because I could just be anyone looking for free money. Second time was on my birthday, ordered online and went in store to pickup and claim my free cookie and drink that I was promised via email. I was declined because I had already paid for my sub in a separate transaction. Thanks for putting a sour taste on my birthday...
