Grove Tavern — Restaurant in Marlborough

Lunch on a Saturday, 4 of us. The place is a bit dated, sports bar with TAB in the main bar, its kind of old blokes and not looking like somewhere a young family would take their kids for lunch or dinner. We had Chicken Parma, Pork Chop and Toasted Sandwich. The serves were extremely generous, gigantic even. Toasties were good, chicken Parma was good. Unfortunately we were not even allowed to order food even though the other 4 people at our table had! Apparently they were too busy and the wait was going to be 2 hours.. although we were with others and my partner and I were the last ones to order, we were originally told the wait for food would be 40mins! We had lunch here today. I had the mixed grill, steak, sausage, bacon, hash browns, tomatoes, two perfectly done eggs and chips. The huge meal was tasty and well cooked. Sharron had the small fish meal, battered fish, chips and salad. Her meal was too big for her and we got it packed to take home.
