Ten O'clock Cookie Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Masterton

On a day trip to Masterton from Wellington, we are used to great food and fantastic coffee in our home city. It's 3 years since I last visited Masterton, and to be frank, the last time the food was middling at best. However, this Café easily surpassed every other place in Masterton and most places in Wellington. We ordered the TenCC big breakfast and the Primal big breakfast, and the presentation and flavour of the food was top notch. Absolutely delicious. The grilled halloumi was missing from mine, but as I'm not a cheese eater that didn't worry me (but my mate, who would have got it, was a little disappointed. Nevertheless, it surpassed many a meal I've eaten in cafés up and down the country. My mate doesn't usually like cooked tomato, but was blown away with how lovely his was. We were so impressed that, after a wander around town a bit we went back and purchased a family sized steak and caramelised onion pie and two orange and almond cakes which we had for dinner and dessert that night. Extremely disappointed by the rude staff. These young girls need a course in hospitality management. They make awkward faces while serving as if they r doing one a favour. If it is so hard for you to work then why work... it happens every time I have visited. Not surprisingly it gets worse at closing time when I have tried different times.

The owner needs to give them some training..

On the contrary the food is very nice and their bakery items are highly recommended. Thus I’m giving 2/5.

The above said visited again and gave the cheese burger royal a try. The size was extremely small for 17$. Taste was good though. The bun was soft and the patty was thick but quite fatty and one was able to feel the chewy bits. Thankgod didn’t order the chips as they were typical shoestring fries from supermarket.

Overall 2-2.5/5 . 2/5 for value n 3/5 for taste. There r better options for...

Sorry to say this,but we are totally dissatisfied with the staff approach this time.I have been a customer since long time,we never had such worst experience.We ordered two theme based cakes for our girl’s birthday.When we asked for a particular colour to the staff member,Rhiannon(Sorry I had to mention her name for other’s sake !!),she said “As the total management has changed they no longer supply that particular theme/colour.That whole conversation was unpleasant.Surprisingly,when I went to pick up that “entirely different “cake ,which we had to order,I saw the exactly same cake when we were requesting earlier.How it can happen???
