Wendy's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

Had dinner recently at this place. Service was terrible, the food stone cold and an atmosphere I can only describe as deeply melancholic. The venue could legitimately be used as a set for a horror movie that takes place in an abandoned diner which was hurriedly mothballed prior to a zombie apocalypse.

To be fair, even the zombies would likely avoid this place in such an event as there would be few human targets with any intention of hiding in the building (same goes for prior to the apocalypse given the low single digit number of customers in the venue when I was there).

Further to this, the group I was with all felt rough after eating the food. It was as if the burgers had been made hours ago and were partially, if not at all reheated before serving. Same applied to the salads ordered.

Service was incredibly lackluster. Staff did not appear to want to be there and seemed as if they were in their own world - perhaps trying to maintain sanity given the dire feeling in the venue.

Very disappointing given this place has historically been alright (at least a decade ago). The group agreed it was a strong contender for one of the worst meals ever. Would not recommend to anyone - that recommendation also extending to several household and...

Not gonna lie. I don't normally leave reviews but as someone with experience in customer service when I got my food tonight. The order was wrong, I don't care enough to go back. And normally I don't mind however I believe the reason why is because as I saw thru the drive thru window - the staff were more interested on what was on their phones and blasting their music, than to focus on making sure orders were correct. Forgive me if I overstep but I don't believe they had a manager tonight.. At the end, my straws were forgotten and I recieved a completely different shake to the one that I ordered. Hence why I'm leaving the review, kinda hoping someone in a higher position will realize what took place at the very least..don't even want anyone punished just like: If you're going to kickback a bit, at least make sure orders are correct. (Maybe turn down the music so you don't shout into the intercom too)

The girl taking the order at the drive-through was rude and had an attitude of not giving a care about anything. Left part way through my order and did not even excuse herself. I decided not to eat there as I was so upset with this persons off hand attitude, and went inside to speak to the manager. The staff looked like a bunch of scruffy, sloppy, who were completely childish and unprofessional. The manager listened to my complaint and wanted to put it right by 'taking my order'. She really did not understand. No way could I eat their food after being pretty upset with the treatment I received. And I certainly did not trust the staff that they wouldn't contaminate it. 15 years ago, I visited this Wendy's and I vowed I would never return due to bad food and service. But I finally gave in.
