Stonefield Wetlands Park is a great place to visit for a relaxing day in nature. It is a perfect place to go for a walk, have a picnic, or do some birdwatching. The park is also a great place for families with children.

Here is a summary of the pros and cons of Stonefield Wetlands Park:

Pros:

Beautiful natural scenery Wide variety of wildlife Well-maintained walking trail Playground, picnic area, and barbecue area Popular spot for fishing

Interesting park, prior to that it was a really stone exploration field, you can see the walls where the rocks were taken. With two bbq areas, seems to be great for an outside party. One decent toilet with a water fountain just in front of it. The tracks were well maintained, however some visitors left their rubbish behind. It could be better if a playground were built there. Heaps of ducks and pulemos. Apart from that, good park to take...

Walking at Stonefields is great for the whole family with flat roads to walk on .. and the Wetlands Park Reserve is popular for picnics. An electric BBQ is installed and a toilet, with a large grassed area for playing Petanque or ball games with the family. Nearby is Mt Wellington which has a trails starting near the Wetlands in Stonefields..Highly reccomend . Ice-cream after at the nearby McDonald's or at New World...

Had a lovely, long walk around the wetland. It’s a very relaxing and quiet place, with a pathway that goes around the pond. There are public toilets, picnic tables, and even two BBQ spots. There are plenty of benches along the way to rest and enjoy the scenery. Saw different kinds of nature and birds—such a nice place to explore. All the information is available there, too. Will definitely be back for more walks.
