My reviews are all about the wild stuff that happens to me. So, I've been in Orakei my whole life, did my intermediate and college gig in St. Heliers. Now, a joint in our hood is serving up this insane kind of experience — never seen that before. I went to Ziggle Panmure to pick up the food my wife had ordered online. The distance from the kitchen to the order pickup spot was quite a stretch, and the kitchen was noisy. Despite not liking the way a staff member behind the kitchen shelves gestured for the customer to speak up, I figured the place, with just two customers, including myself, must be busy enough to warrant it.
Upon opening the food at home, it was different from what my wife had ordered online. She called the restaurant, and they claimed it had never happened before. When I went back to exchange the incorrect food, the store had partially closed its security shutter and turned off the lights in the dining area. Knowing that normal restaurants without a dedicated manager might feel uncomfortable with a customer staying after hours, I handed over the food and waited outside to be polite. However, the staff member never came out. Even at Burger King, employees bring the food to your car. What makes this place different? I can't figure out what kind of establishment it aspires to be.
I reluctantly walked back into the darkened store and she didn't even bother to look me in the face or apologise. I just grabbed the supposedly 'remade' food next to the EFTPOS machine and left. Obviously she wasn't a local, but it doesn't make sense that someone who can't apologise in English would do so. The price of the food I ordered is around the basic hourly wage of an ordinary person, but the staff seemed oblivious to its value. How can someone like that provide good customer service? Seems like she's got some serious misconceptions, acting like customers should naturally whip out money just to eat her food.
Wasted about an hour, got the wrongly made food swapped out, but the cold burger after an hour was hitting Maccas’ Big Mac level. If you're thinking of blowing time and cash on this kind of food, I wouldn't recommend it. How do you know this won't happen to you today and not just to me? Super let down, and that staff member definitely gives off an 'I don't care about customers' vibe. Right next door, a spot called Peaches Hot Chicken — perfect customer service and better grub of the same kind. If this happens again, hope the staff gets their act together, like they swore to my missus it had never happened before.
Edit: "after throwing food away on the table." really? I guess your employee is completely delusional. I definitely remember handing over the food directly to her. The distance between my hand and hers was so close; I could have even grabbed her hand and said, 'Please wake up. Why don't you pay more attention to what's going on around you? or did she just want to be distracted by the mistake she...
Read moreService was really good. Friendly staff and kiosk was easy enough to use. Food was ready in a timely manner.
This is quite a small establishment. Tables and chairs were quite small we ate in because there was nobody else there but I think had there have been other customers we may have eaten our food in the car.
We got the original burger and the protein bomb. Burgers were quite good. Ingredients were very fresh. Patty was similar to a smash patty but I liked it. I couldn't really taste the sauce so you may want to get extra.
Fries were GOOD!!!! Crunchy on the outside soft on the outside and hot.
For the fried chicken we got plain and soy sweet chilli. The plan was amazing juicy and crunchy but the soy sweet chilli was a little to sweet for my liking. Still crunchy and juicy though.
Over All really good experience and happy with our meal.
Thank you...
Read moreOrdered two chicken burgers, onion rings, and chicken.
The onion rings were super burnt and was super stuck to each other. It is quite inedible as it was very bitter. If I saw this in store I would've demanded a refund or for it to be remade.
Chicken burger didn't look like the photo at all. The advertised photo showed chicken "patty" being coated with the yang yeom sauce, but what i received was a dry piece of chicken in my burger with a dash of sauce.
I ordered for pick up at 1pm, and I had to wait well past 1.15pm to have my order ready. The whole point of ordering online for pick up is to pick up on the time the customer selected. Not for them to start cooking at the selected time. Questionable and borderline...
