Chang Thai Takeaway — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

As a Vietnamese person visiting this restaurant abroad, I was really happy! When I walked in, the cozy vibe and yummy smells of Vietnamese food made me feel at home. The staff welcomed me with big smiles and took great care of me during my meal.

I tried the pho, and it was amazing—rich broth, perfect noodles, and lots of fresh herbs and meat. Each bite was so flavorful, just like the street food in Vietnam. The spring rolls were also delicious, crispy outside and full of fresh ingredients.

What I loved most was how the staff shared their favorite dishes with me and made great suggestions. Their love for Vietnamese food showed, making the experience even better.

I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants authentic Vietnamese food. I left super satisfied and can’t wait to come back....

Checked the reviews and thought I'd give you a shot. But $47 for this is ridiculous. Container of rice wasn't even full. Rice was ok but nothing special, as little amount of meat as you could put in there. Spring and pork rolls were below average. Positive was quick service though. But sorry, the price was out the gate. I won't be back... Atmosphere was a bit drab, totally empty, but if the food and price was good...

I have been here a few times and the food is always delicious. Tonight I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, Curry Puffs and Satay Chicken. The Pad Thai, as always, is tasty the blend of flavours is so good. The Satay chicken is very tasty, especially the peanut sauce and curry puffs were packed full of flavour and very mild.
