For the main course, I chose the chicken tikka , and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, making every bite a joy. The staff at Restaurant were attentive and knowledgeable. They made excellent recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Their professionalism and friendliness truly enhanced the overall experience. After my Review, the owner reached out to me asking for another go. We tried the same dishes again and it was definitely much better. The chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken was delicious, the prawn malabari was not still how I'd like it but better than before. I have now changed my rating to 4 stars :). Thank you to the owner for reaching out! After reading the many five star reviews, I was really excited to order from this restaurant. We didn’t eat in but got takeaway. We ordered the chicken tikka masala , prawn malabari and kiwi style butter chicken. The meals were very disappointing, starting with CTM which was just a lazy curry with blended veges. The malabari didn’t taste like it had any coconut or tempering of curry leaves and mustard seeds you’d normally get. The kiwi style butter chicken was so sweet that my 6 year old refused to eat it. From the moment we stepped in, the experience at Tandoor grill was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated — a perfect balance of modern elegance and traditional Indian charm.

We kicked off our meal with the Chicken 65 and what I can confidently say are Auckland’s best lamb chops. both incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. We tried chef special chicken and Indian maggi noodles. Delicious Indian food

The service deserves special mention — attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable staff who took time to explain the dishes and accommodate our preferences. We also appreciated the chef Vijay’s checking in at the end of the meal — a lovely touch!
