The cafe is a nice space for relaxing, the artwork is colourful and the lighting creative. There are lots of spaces, inside and out to chill, and there is a good looking array of healthy eating options with lots of GF and DF versions available. This cafe has a very good rep for coffee, which we probably should have ordered instead of the berry smoothies, as unfortunately, they weren’t great. They lacked flavour, and were topped up by adding milk after the blending process to fill the takeaway cups, which only thinned down the smoothie even more. The savoury kumara and bacon bake was delicious, and the carrot and quinoa salad was pretty good, but lacked some punchy flavour. The cauliflower and bacon bomb had a gluey sort of texture, which was rather off putting. Overall, a fairly disappointing visit to a cafe with a solid standing. Hopefully a return visit sometime will prove to be better.

The food was appalling. I ordered the Salmon Bagel. The salmon came in an oily, overcooked block. It tasted bad. The meal supposedly came with capers and cream cheese but neither was anywhere to be found. The onion rings tasted like it had been cooked in the forbidden ancient oil from 1999. The garnish and seasoning for some reason was on the side of the plate?? My friends big breakfast was oily, underwhelming and over priced too. And to top it all off the coffee was bad aswell. Not a nice experience to spend $55 on and by the end of it still have not eaten anything. Please don’t come here, you will regret it.

I frequent Bay Espresso for takeaway coffees and work meetings. The girls behind the counter are just so friendly and welcoming ❤ their service is excellent and they manage the busy periods with such ease as it is a very busy spot! Great coffee and awesome cabinet food. The menu is excellent too. Great spot for a quick catch up or for breakfast and lunch meets.

Very cosy little spot... Loved the pesto with the mushrooms and bacon... (@#$!, I hate these autocorrecting keyboards that override your spelling... took me 5 tries to spell cosy correctly... it kept replacing cosy with cost... 😶)

Still a nice cosy and friendly place for a quiet cup of tea and a crossword.

And again, the Big Breakfast was excellent. Staff, as always, were friendly, helpful, happy and professional (and they let me stay on a bit to complete the Sudoku 😁)...

Again excellent and professional staff. I asked for scrambled eggs on toast without bacon because I've just had a tooth removed and they made the toast soft without me asking. I am impressed 😄.

Again excellent service. Got poached eggs on toast and a large mocha which improved my grumpy mood appreciably. Also filled in...

Normally I enjoy coming for a coffee and something to eat. Mushrooms on toast is awesome. There are pictures of dogs covering one wall. So today I thought I would take my new puppy for a walk and get a coffee. I stood inside the cafe in the queue for several minutes waiting to order my coffee when I got to order the lady behind said sorry we have strict policy of no dogs. I said I wanted a takeaway coffee and she said sorry no dogs. Now I can understand if there was a sign at the door, saying no dogs or the second I went inside someone came and said something but to wait inside and talk for over 5mins. Where's the...
