Cafe Anatolia Taradale — Restaurant in Napier

I went to get my favourite takeaway at the Taradale store the other day and noticed they had a new ‘kiosk’ setup. Basically you can now place your order with a tablet. I wasn’t going to use it at first but the manager got me started and it was easy peasy, pretty much like the online app. It’s probably faster and more informative than ordering at the counter? Great for checking out the whole menu, sauces, prices and so on. The staff seemed happy and friendly as usual and the store always feels really clean and hygienic. The food is consistently tasty, fresh and good quality. I really like how thin they slice the chicken. And the sauces are amazing, I have experimented quite a lot and can recommend smoky mayonnaise and satay. They also do kid’s portions, desserts and other sweet treats, the tiramisu will change your life LOL. Best food in Hawkes Bay, good portion sizes, pleasant staff, open 7 days, FULLY...

I ordered over the phone last night and the person whom I placed the order with used a completely different name and phone number to mine on our order!!! So when my partner went to pick up dinner, the staff couldn’t even find our order. All three of the iskender were missing the hummus and yoghurt garlic sauce that usually comes in them!!! And the side that is usually tabbouleh & salad was chunky slices of cabbage, lettuce and some dry couscous!!! All of our meals were all squashed into a bag on top of each other so all the sauces stuck to the lid of the packaging. The quality of these meals for $20 EACH was terrible not to mention dry!!!!! And to top everything off, my partner got food poisoning from his chicken iskender. We will not be purchasing Cafe...

Pretty average. Had to use a machine to order, so i couldn't say only a little of this etc. Stuffed up my own order accidentally. Dined in. Food sat on counter for 10 mins while we were starving and no one else was there. No number that I could find, when to collect meal. Meals just sat with a whole lot of other orders waiting to be collected. Did not enjoy the food. Salad had a whole lot of solidified fat at the bottom of the container. Probably because it sat around and could not taste the satay with the lamb. Overall not very nice for an expensive take out. Won't be coming back.
