Ben the Chef/Owner is such and friendly, knowledge and cool guy. He's passionate about food too. He was telling me about all these specials he's coming up with. Keep it fresh, you know?

I'm coming back to try out all the different dishes they offer. Chicken quesadilla, gyros, phase Thai, Onion Bhaji Burger plus breakfast items.

I dig the vibe too. Open plan seating with retro picnic benches. He even has Foosball and an 90s style arcade game that has hundreds of arcade video games from Street fighter to Test drive to pac man and more. 🤓😎

Thanks for making me feel welcome Ben.

Cheers

Edit: Since I can only have one active google review at a time I thought I'd add on. 🙂

Everyone has to check this place out! The last seven or so times I've gone in I've gotten Ben's weekly special. This last one was a gourmet version of the McRib. 😂. Best dinner I've had in a long time. Ben, Bridget and their children put so much love into their food, service and atmosphere!

Thank you guys for making my day every time I come in. I still need to try out delivery....

A hidden gem in Washington Valley that is no longer hidden and becoming more and more popular through word of mouth and excellent feedback from locals and visitors. The owners were genuinely pleased I walked in and greeted me like I was their number one customer. Customer service experience like that is what makes me want to return again and again to establishments. I ordered a Full Breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Unlike some other places who serve up a Full Beak Fast (portion sizes for birds) this place fills your plate with a delicious display of everything a Full Breakfast aficionado could want. The sausage was full of flavour. The bacon nice and crispy. The sauteed mushrooms scrumptious. The eggs poached perfectly and placed on top of fresh ciabatta. Some hash browns and good old baked beans. I washed it down with a perfect double shot long black. The coffee was made so well I had to have another. The price for all this was very reasonable. A review doesn't do this place justice. The only way you'll know how good they are is to go there yourself....

Absolutely stoked we found this place! Have been for both breakfast and lunch now and both times have been very impressed. I had The Works and my husband had Eggs Benny. We have been doing the rounds each weekend trying out different cafes around Nelson and this is by far the best breakfast I have found in Nelson! We have also tried the loaded fries, jerk chicken wings and the fancy fish meal which were all amazing (just needed more tartare sauce with the fish!) We also had the banoffee dumplings, just to try something different and, wow.. just incredible!

To top it all off, we experienced excellent customer service! Lovely, friendly, helpful people who were fantastic with our two young boys. The man came out from the kitchen and played table football with our 6 year old while we ate. Offered a chocolate biscuit to him and his little brother if he managed to get a goal!

Thank you so much! Really need to make this place more known...

We found this lovely little place on Google maps due to the high ratings and it didn't disappoint! Everything we got was really good. We enjoyed the Onion Bhajji burger very much (was authentic for us Indians!) and the patty went so well with the condiments. We also enjoyed the Gyros and Mexican eggs. There was a nice variety of international food with vegetarian options and we could tell that Ben (the owner) had put in a lot of thought and effort into the menu! He said he enjoys experimenting and has a new special every week. Great for the locals! Highly recommend this place for a yummy meal in Nelson 👍🏽 PS there's also an arcade machine for restless kids (and adults) 😆

First things first: the coffee is SMOOTH! It's Atomic coffee and the barista made a beautiful cup. Quesadilla with chicken was a good texture, the Salsa Roja was delicious, possibly a little smoky even? Loaded fries with bacon is gonna be a crowd pleaser - the jalapeno is quite mild, the sauce isn't overpowering and it's all well mixed with lots of toppings so it's not a little toppings with a pile of chips underneath. A good staple. Big portion for street food style. I used the online order option which worked well. Pricing is on point for street food. Would recommend for a weekend coffee spot to work your way through the menu - at least that's my plan.

This place is a real gem for foodies in or visiting Nelson. The menu is unique and ever changing. Which means there is always something to explore. The food itself is like eating art, beautifully presented, fresh, and original. Service is low key and excellent, the owner is certainly proud of his food and it shows. The atmosphere is retro and relaxed. Nothing takes the attention off the food. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a go. You will not be disappointed.
