So disappointed as Huo Guo is a favourite. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier and this made it difficult to get service. We ordered two bases and neither were what we ordered one was like vegetable dishwater which was meant to be a satay the other was a spicy base which we asked to be mild but it was extremely hot to the extent it actually lost all the beautiful flavours after the first few mouth fulls. The meat and vegetables were lovely and fresh but I am afraid that is really the only positive. Other tables seemed to get quite good service they had drinks, serviettes and all tables except ours had water. When we finally got a member of the staff to stop they didn't speak English so had to get another member of staff to come over and she wasn't really sure what we wanted. All in all an extremely expensive dinner that neither...

Probably the best hot pot in wellington at the moment. Amazing broth flavour from the golden broth and mushroom broth. The tomato broth didn't have that much tomato flavour, but was still good. In my opinion, it's cheaper than the other hot pot places around town (minus all you can eat) and the service is good. We didn't speak any mandarin but they managed to service us fine with a waitress who could speak a bit of English. Good atmosphere and decorations.

As for food, amazing assortment of choices. Love how there are platters of veges, mushrooms, and fish balls so you can get a mix of everything without needing to over eat. Everything tastes good with the broth, their homemade noodles is a must. Their mango dessert is...

Went here with friends and honestly had a really uncomfortable experience. From the moment we sat down, the staff kept staring at us and walking around our table. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt judged — like we were doing something wrong, had ordered too much, or were staying too long. It got so awkward that we lowered our voices and even questioned whether the place was about to close, but it had only just opened. The constant looks over our shoulders ruined the atmosphere completely.

On the positive side, the fried rice was amazing and the place itself looked really nice. But the way the staff acted felt a bit creepy, and it completely ruined what could have been a...

Although a little pricey, it is definitely worth it if there are more than 2 of you. Great service, helpful staff. Food was delvered within 10 minutes of ordering. Scan a QR code, choose your protein and vegetables, and you're good to go. We also ordered the Tahini Sugar Cakes, which were AMAZING. Deep fried fluffy donut-like puffs filled with a sweet tahini paste. Generous platters of everything, so do go with an appetite! We got the chili vegetable oil soup base medium heat and a mushrrom soup base, which were both flavourful. I will level up the spice next time because, yes, we will be returning!
