Worst fish meal ever. Overpriced rip-off. Fish was horrible- dry, chewy, no taste, definitely not fresh and certainly not Snapper. ( I was assured it was fresh Snapper delivered yesterday yeah right) So awful I could not eat much of it even though very hungry. It was definitely a frozen and unidentifiable precrumbed product.

Totally overpriced rip-off !! - paid $13.50 for a “large” portion!!. For that expected 1 or 2 fat juicy pieces. Got 1 dry chewy piece, Was very flat and thin so hardly any fish compared to the crumb coating. The chips were average but sort of edible. This is the place on the mall side of the road. (There is similar named place across road just close to the vet.) Avoid this one!

They provide a superior experience with fresh lemons and aioli. The fish choice is awesome but they are out of everything so in reality there is no choice, don't be fooled, and their prices are reasonable. Be careful, you must order Bluff Oysters because the Pacific Oysters they serve by default are inedible. The problem is they don't cook the food long enough (new owners and untrained staff) so you eat raw batter and limp chips. This can be saved if you have an air fryer but it is not good enough. I gave them another chance in September 2025 and got the same experience. Soggy chips, batter under cooked, no quality control. Food warm and not hot. So I have dropped my ratings. They can't cook basic fish and chips. The food is very poor quality. Go to Churton Park for 5 star fish and chips, only 5...

Doesnt deserve ANY stars but gets one star BY DEFAULT. only wanted a V but staff too busy gas-bagging over the phone in their own language, Told me "hang on" as i was about to hand over the money continue gas-bagging for another 15 seconds before i challenged them, They got Snappy and rather rude so i fought fire with fire, snapped at them, dumped the V on the counter and stormed out of the shop...If you're gunna be rude to customers and talk to your mates in some language we dont understand then you shouldn't be running a shop.
