26/04/2025.. Visited for the Moana, Crusaders games and a meal. Server explained specials, very rushed and difficult communicating through heavy accent and background noise. Ordered nachos, fettuccine and drinks. Food was average, and smaller than 3 weeks ago considering the $2 increase for mine. Never saw our server again once food arrived. Looked around for staff to order more drinks and dessert menu. 15 minutes later, service. Also discovered original server went home after shift finished 🙄. Excited our games were starting but..without sound? Wanted to hear the anthems and especially ANZAC messages. Approached counter politely requesting to hear buildup and games. Request denied by pretentious manager. “We ONLY play sound for home teams/home games”. (Or something very similar). Seriously? Didn’t get the memo. Sound reluctantly turned on. Not everyone in Wellington supports local teams etc. Paying patrons are also national/international visitors to your city/establishment 😳. Not sure what became of the pre Covid staff and management, but they epitomised professionalism, customer satisfaction, and contributed to a business built on Reputation. Made a booking for 8pm over the phone no issues arrive at the restaurant and we're declined entry because one of the 4 of us was 17 and can't be in there without a legal guardian even though we just wanted dinner not drinking and there was also little kids under 8 running around inside. Now we have to struggle to find a restaurant at this time. Just a heads up if anyone is thinking of coming here and aren't 18 not impressed ruined our night. Thanks guys.
