It's not just a cafe, it's an individual approach to every customer. Christie serves the best coffee for a morning Hatea Loop walk/run. Always chatty and often sings for you - you won't get such experience anywhere else. Yes, it's a bit pricey but totally worth it. Went there for a coffee but ended up getting one of their burgers as well. Hook Bridge Burger (fish cooked in the air fryer), came with fresh lettuce, beetroot, onion, aioli on a fresh bun. Very nice. Public seating nearby overlooking the water so we were able to sit and enjoy. Town was crazy with Christmas Shopper traffic jams so it was nice to relax and take in the fresh air. Definitely not getting ice cream. At Christie's. Really disappointed and rude attitude of the staff. The lady in the counter doesn't care about reusable tubs/cups. She doesn't even know the difference if I bring my own tub I create no waste and I save you money on tubs win win situation. I understand that there are covid rules.
