Columbus Coffee — Restaurant in North Island

This place is so awesome. My friend and I go there instead of other nearby places. Absolutely no problem with others but you can’t beat the food, coffee and atmosphere. Their biggest asset is their service as far as we are concerned. Always friendly, polite no matter how busy they are. This was topped yesterday when , busy as , few tables available but one had not long been vacated when a teen aged male got a cloth etc and , without being asked, came and cleaned down our table. New Plymouth mitre 10 mega I came for lunch on Friday 19th with my special little guy,it was his birthday and I treated him to a Lamington and the works (fries,melted cheese,lots of gravey,sour cream,sweet chilli,).The young lady that served us was friendly and helpful, thank you so much,much appreciated. The Lamington brought back memories of my childhood and my grans baking from the 70s an 80s .The works was so yummy, my boy got so excited while I was mashing it for him so he could eat it.The amount of gravey help with mixing it for my little boy to consume easier, highly recommend this meal...

The stars dont represent the service, The food and price was a huge let down ordered Corn Fritters with a salsa and creme fresh and bacon - This came to $24 - The food was cold the bacon was clearly cooked and reheated it was so dry the salsa again was also very dry there was no sauce at all it was capsicum and corn with some onion! and I kid you not 2 little drops of Creme Fresh the Corn fritters left a Baking powder taste in your mouth and they 2 were all very dry.
