McDonald's Hastings — Restaurant in North Island

For weeks now the night shift don't seem to be wanting to work?? They must be there to hang out and not make any burgers?? My partner goes to treat himself after working his grave shift to be continously let down and get rudely told " we are not taking any orders "... now all the store lights are on.. there is staff in store and also never a reason to why, even when he has asked why not or what time will you be taking orders again.. they to busy relaxing to even reply I guess.. but twice a week this happening is now becoming a bit of a joke.. either close properly and turn off your lights and send your staff home.. or do something about your constant issue!! Also what's the deal with adding cheese to a burger... some staff let you and others are " no we don't add cheese during these hours " you already don't serve half the menu.. but hey that's when it's available right or when you choose to take our order. Only gave 1 star so I could start writing my review it...

worst service ever its supposed to be fast foods....... my burger an chips were cold when i received them they missed a burger an i had to remake it when i got home because it looked like it had hit the floor been kicked the given to me...... this is the night shift by the way on the 11/1/25 they make us wait for ages there was barely anyone in drive thru.... then when i finally got to the window to get food two of their male workers are standing there chatting with their fingers up their arse... theres horns going people complaining an now i know why the short pakeha girl with the pink hair has no idea what shes doing...... the people in the drive thru should be taken care of first before deliveries for a start we are there on site.... an they worry about their online orders only 5 people working i mean really .... REALLY every single week this seems to occur bad service bad food wait for ages...

Staff are very rude and unhelpful. Whoever was on in the drive thru on the 11th of December around midnight was very rude and had a tone in her voice the whole time. No manners and no thank you.

We asked about getting a sundae she said they don't serve ice cream after 11pm which is interesting because naiper does. After talking to a friend who used to work there, she confirmed this and said the machine would have been in cleaning mode. That makes sense, I don't know why they don't just say that. We also asked to use a code to collect points and she didn't seem happy about that either, so we didn't bother because it seemed like such a hassle.

I know it's late and they're probably stressed because they're busy but, seriously how hard is a little customer service. The staff here are such jokes.

Whenever I come here something in my order is always wrong too.
