My wife and I stopped in to use the toilet when we decided to have a McD lunch, placed an order with a young lady at the counter, within 5 minutes our number was called my why retrieved the order. Noting that the order was’nt quite what we ordered I myself went back to counter and and explained to the young lady why we may have received the wrong order. A few words were exchanged I raised my voice and our exchange of words was going nowhere eventually she went to her manager when the manager came to the counter and listened to my concerns of the order. She offered to cancel the current order and refund the payment made or cancel the order and make a refund and make a new order which I opted for. Within a few minutes the order was corrected and completed. The food was 10/10 the young lady and her manager were both calm and proffesional in the way they managed my raised voice and attitude whilst they were at a busy time of the day. I rate them both 10/10 Before leaving I apologised to both for my behaviour. All parties admitted there was a misunderstanding in ordering. Will I return,...
Read moreMy experience at this establishment would best be described as a roller coaster. At first when I walked in the atmosphere of the old small mcdonald’s was confronting to say the least. I ordered anyway as my stomach was calling out to me and to my pleasant surprise the food came out at a record speed of 4 minutes and 43 seconds. The burgers and fries were also the hottest and crispiest i’ve ever experienced at a mcdonald’s. At this point I was thinking this must be the best mcdonald’s i’ve ever been to. However… when I opened up my Big Mac to my disgust it was constructed incorrectly, it went bun - burger - burger - bun - bun. This was more disappointing than my wife’s first miscarriage. On a brighter note they were handing out free sonic the hedgehog 2024 calendars which bumped their score right back up for me!
Additional note: There were an odd amount of bold men on the premises, personally this didn’t affect my rating of my experience but thought it was valuable...
Read moreThe whole centre was super busy on our way up to a performance in Auckland from the Bay. It was Friday, end of school holidays and between 4-5pm. There had been some roadworks along the expressway so traffic was heavy and slow going. I was hungry and a bit agitated by the time I got to order, so I thought the guy at the drive thru was kinda rude…none of the usual salutation, or thank you at the end. However, once we got to the pay window, he was polite and courteous, wishing us a nice weekend. Our kai didn’t take too long and it was fresh. One criticism: there is no real designated ‘waiting bay’ that I could see. It’s kind of off to the side but still part of the queue. And if you have 2 or more waiting there (like it was on this particular day), it stops everyone else in the queue from trying to order, pay, grab their food and go etc. And that’s the whole point of a drive thru right. It’s always nice to stop here by the Waikato river before or...
