Pattie & Brioche — Restaurant in North Island

Was keen to try this place based on the reviews. We ordered two chicken burgers, curly fries and slaw to share. It was a good portion and well presented, curly fries were excellent but both our burgers just weren’t good.

Bun was nice, plenty of sauce and topping but there was a green sauce along with the gochujang sauce (which wasn’t noted on the menu) and a normal burger pickle, collectively it didn’t really hit the Korean fried chicken burger box, flavours didn’t work together.

The chicken itself was fairly dry and lacked crunch or any real seasoning, the sauces provided the main flavours. Slaw was a small side and had rocket with only a few pieces of kimchi. Was a small portion for the price of $8. Disappointing given...

This place is the coolest dining informal restaurant in Havelock North! The burgers are simply excellent, first, the brioche is soft and airy not like other places that are almost like a bagel.. thick and dense. Second, the patties omg! you can tell is a chef's recipe so tasty and really well mixed with spices and stuff. I had a lovely meal at that restaurant recently. The burger was truly exceptional—juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The young lady with the red hair serving us was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
