Rangoli Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in North Island

Disappointed. It was our first time ordering food from this establishment. I ordered online using menulog at 5.25pm, and pushed out the pickup time 10 minutes later than the earliest available slot to give them some breathing space with turnaround. I arrived just before 6pm, (the later pickup time) and was told it wasn't ready yet. I had to wait nearly 15 minutes before my order was brought out. I was hanging out for a nice curry, so I looked past this. I raced home and put the order on the bench and went to take care of something else. I came back to the wife serving up. Her first comment was about how expensive it was. Her second was about how our container of chicken tikka masala was only 3/4 full. Then I noticed the $8.90 bag of onion bahji I'd ordered was only 1/2 full... oh well, curry time! Oh. It's not getting any better.... very little chicken in the chicken tikka masala but there were generous portions of onion and capsicum. It's just a shame they were mostly raw and quite crunchy. The wife was less than impressed with the garlic naan as well. I thought it was ok, compared to the rest of the meal. I'll give them this though - they nailed the rice. Oh, and the papadums. It's a shame really, we were hoping to find our new favourite curry place. I guess the quest...

Ordered this food which is on the bill with the waiter , Manjindar Kumar. Lassi was extra salted.....

We said we don't wont salty lassi and informed waiter Manjindar Kumar to get mango lassi instead...

Manjindar Kumar brought salted lassi again , we told him that we ordered mango lassi but he said chef made it soooo....

Tadka dal was not fully cooked, by the way there was no tadka at all.

Please be careful with this restaurant.

If you want real indian test food avoid this kind of restaurant....

After paying the bill we are about to leave towards our home, one of the chef came and opened my car door without asking me and started talking like ' with your review our business won't affect'

After that one kiwi person came to me, he knock onto my car and said me that you shouldn't give a review like that and I explained him the situation that chef who came outside the restaurant opened my car door without asking( no knock on car door) felt like he was threatening me.

Going to food safety and police to report it.
