Hell Kapiti — Restaurant in Wellington

It's been a while since I've had a Hell's pizza and the first time from this store. I can't begin to describe how disappointed I was, but I'll give it a go. I like chilli, I do but there was no "ring of fire" just great puddles of it that overpowered any flavour the pizza may have had. I counted 19 lumps of chilli hidden beneath the cheese on one piece, on another only 2. It was obvious no care was taken in the distribution, perhaps instead some devilish delight. That said, what the pizza had in heat it lacked in flavour and supporting ingredients - possibly 3 or 4 slices of very thin pepperoni for the entire Wrath if we were lucky. We had takeout. We are American. We ate it at our family's house. The pizzas were tiny. Not the size we get at home. The toppings were excellent. There was a wonderful variety of choice on the menu. I expected enough to eat pizza for breakfast which we then call "tomato danish", but they were too tiny for leftovers. A large size was like a small pizza in America. It was a weird cultural experience. I suppose I was supposed to think things like oh, Americans are so overweight, so materialistic, bigger isn't better, etc. I'm sorry but abundance and wellbeing are tied together! More pizza please! What a f* around. We order and waited an hour for our delivery. When it failed to arrive we call and were informed that they had never put our order through. We spoke to the DM who was kind and calm. However once they had finally put the order through we were left waiting over another hour getting calls saying “it is another 15 minutes away”. Really disappointing and ridiculous. The DM did call and apologise saying how ridiculous and how genuinely sorry she was and offered us a $20 to be sent in the mail. Once our pizza had arrived it was the wrong order and when I called I was told “we are all human we make mistakes”, I was also told “I can tell you are getting mad”.
