The Baker's House — Restaurant in North Island

We were on the way to Napier in the early morning hours and emotionally a bit down. Stopped at this bakery to get coffees and something to eat on the way. Despite the long cue ( obviously they must be very good) the service was excellent. Passing the coffee order first before taking the food order and payment of the customer took my attention. Very good time management! 😊 When I noticed the beautiful words written on our coffee lids to brighten our day, I felt so pleased and called them to say”thank you!”

Thank you for beautiful service, thank you delicious scone and muffin and very good coffee. As if, you read my mind and wrote those words when you were so busy, lifted our feelings and brightened my day!

A cup of coffee served like this can make life time memory and I have it now...

This used to be "THE" best in Tuakau. Went in today, the donuts were stale, bread was stale, and the ham was off. Coffee was bland. I was disappointed. I got a replacement sandwich (chose one without ham), but that one was stale also, and tasteless.

We used to travel from Waiuku for their food, but over the past few years, the quality has steadily decreased, there are less options, and now the food is stale and expired. I won't be returning...

I had the full breakfast, but the girl under charged me about 5 cents and expected me to go inside and pay it, whilst leaving my food unattended outside. Very inconvenient. Additional, the coffee was cold and tasted bitter, the service was poor, and the place was empty. So if she can't handle one order, I'd hate to see her when a bus load of tourists show up. I should have gone to the bakery down the road- it's cheaper, better service, and...
