I attended this restaurant with my 2 friends and a small child. Upon entering the venue I was impressed with the spaciousness and relative cleanliness (compared to other fast food restaurants). When it comes to ordering, we were faced with a variety of options. However, probably half of these options were unfortunately vetoed because of the absolute abomination that is square burger patties. All three of us eventually settled on the chickenator and assorted drinks. Our meals arrived in an acceptable time frame, and we tucked in. My burger was PIPING hot, which I found unusual but also somehow delightful. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say it was probably one of the best fast food burgers I've ever had. I didn't order a drink, but my friends got "regular" drinks, which appeared to be the size of a Stanley waterbottle. The fries were average as, sightly cold and flavourlesss, but you didn't really need them with the deliciousness that is a chickenator. For a first experince with wendys, I would definitely be returning....
Read moreWe stopped here after a tiresome bush walk nearby, but was quite disappointed.
I requested a double pound large combo and right off the bat, they have run out of sprite. I have never had that happen before anywhere so had to request L & P instead. I also asked for the burger to not include pickle and cheese, but when I went to the drive thru window, she thought I meant onion as well. I responded by repeating what I had said earlier, but when I got the burger it had no onion, pickle or cheese!
The worst experience was when I overheard the guy who was making burgers make fun of me for asking for no cheese. Seriously?! Dude, I like cheese but usually cannot stand the crap they include in fast-food restaurants.
This could have been a lot better, had they practiced active listening and keeping a...
Read moreRotorua Wendy's was an absolute let down. The staff member that was on drive through wasn't clearly spoken, mumbling, did NOT repeat back order, resulting in what I would describe as a waste of time stop on an across the north island trip. The hoki "fillet " burger that I had personally tasted revolting, the 1 half of a leaf of lettuce was brown, the fillet smelt really pungent, which left me only a bun to eat as I wasn't prepared to get a crook stomach from the stinky and I mean STINKY fish or the clearly gone off lettuce. I would not recommend stopping there. I honestly don't think the QUALITY or the CLEARLY UNPREPARED STAFF on drive through can be...
