Bayside Fish Supply — Restaurant in Oraka Aparima Community

Visited this disgusting fish and chip shop in Riverton, the Riviera of the South. How this operates I have no idea. The facility was not clean, the $8 blue cod was not blue cod but either Rig or Elephant fish (which is great fish usually) that looked yellow, and probably pre frozen battered. I also purchased a pineapple ring which had no sweetness and was limp and had a taste of old batter! The whitebait pattie I ordered was a perfect circle like a potato cake deep fried with half a whitebait in it. Chips looked like a limp soggy I wont say what. I rang them to convey my disappointment and disgust with my $38 meal,and was advised the whitebait patties come in from India, and the server should have advised us when we ordered this. He said mistakes can happen with fish!!

I took the parcel of fish and chips back showed them the meal and was advised "I'm not the owner I just work here".

Riverton is a stunning location to visit, lovely people and wonderful sights. Situated on the seafood bowl of NZ and this sort of rubbish is served to tourists. The leaders of this community should be really looking at these reviews, I advise you drive to Invercargill to get your fish and chips.

I recently ordered a burger from Bayside takeaway and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The burger was extremely bland and lacked any flavor or seasoning. It seemed as though it was cooked without any salt or other spices and even may have been a frozen beef paddie. Even the toppings were underwhelming and didn't add any extra flavor to the burger. Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality of the burger and the lack of effort put into making it. I hope that the restaurant can take this feedback constructively and improve their recipe to ensure that their customers have a better experience...

Went for a family day outing thought we would stop and get some fish and chips. We ordered 2 donuts, 2 BLUE COD and chips and 2 little Pottles of tartare sauce. We were charged $27 $6.50each for the so called blue cod, $2.70 each a donut, $3.50 chips. BEAWARE IT IS NOT BLUE COD,near freezier burnt RIG at best definitely not fresh!! This place is overpriced and scamming people!! I will not recommend this place to anyone and will further in the future make everyone aware of there behavior as the reviews do not have responses that would meet the customer's...
