Blackstone Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Otago

Ordered the beer battered fish if the day . Must have been frozen and they tried to thaw it in water as when i got it water was dripping out of the fish and it tasted horrible. I asked if I could have another one when it arrived it had less salad and chips than the first one and still had water dripping out the fish . I was utterly disappointed and obviously there cook isn't a cook and has an attitude when people point out how bad the food is. Also there were 6 of us in the group and they deliver each meal minutes apart so basically we ate alone not really good for a group. Wish I could give a negative star as service and food at this place does not...

Monday morning 30th Dec. early. Three other diners. Two already had their meal, others had hot drink. Ordered all day breakfast and pancakes with bacon and bananas. Pancakes were soggy and bananas were unheated. Plates cold. All day breakfast but toast warm. Plates cold. So ours were the only meals being cooked. Hot chocolate was good. Price very high for disappointing food. Will be a while before we go...

Blackstone Cafe is operated by a friendly and helpful group of women. A very clean and pleasant place to coffee or dine in. The coffee is excellent and they provide a great range of home baking and snack options. I have only had lunch there on one occasion and the food was fresh, tasty and well presented.
