We had a fantastic dinner here. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The venue isn't fancy, but it's very clean and appears to be fairly new. I had the lamb shanks (2), and my dad had the porterhouse steak. The dinners were huge! We arrived hungry and were both raised to not leave food on our plate. Neither of us could finish our meal. I've added a photo of the lamb shank dinner and thought I'd mention that what it doesn't show is the pile of mashed potatoes under the lamb. If we were in the area longer, we would have gone back the next day.

Welcoming and friendly staff, DELICIOUS food and very reasonably priced and GENEROUS serving size. Plenty road side parking, family friendly. There's also a pool table and a little kids play section. Very comfortable and spacey environment, cleanliness 10/10. One of my favorite food spots. Fish and lamb shank is bomb, sure everything else is too on the menu. Must drop by if in Mosgiel!! Thank you team RSA!

had the best service today from annalise and shyanne. was analise 2day and she was the best server. they both made sure we were sweet as. thank you ladies for the good experience. they both need a pay rise. and the food was epic.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Diggers Tavern in Mosgiel, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with a fantastic variety that really showcases their quality. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing!

Moreover, the service was exceptional. Our waitress, Chloe, truly made our evening memorable. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic as she informed us about the specials for that night. Her recommendations were spot on, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. Chloe’s friendly demeanor and attentive service really set the tone for an enjoyable meal.

Excellent service and meal. Very friendly staff. Very well patronized so obviously a popular restaurant. I am from Hawke's Bay and was at the restaurant with family who live in Mosgiel. I will definitely be returning to this establishment when next in town. 😉👍👍👍

Firstly, a lovely waitress who was very good at her job, very impressed of how she took charge of what she was doing. (Didn’t get a name sadly)

Secondly - the meal was super, had the special steak, first time in awhile I had a decent cooked steak, with a decent amount of chips with mushrooms

Thirdly,; even tho this is the RSA, I would gladly becoming back to this establishment and have another meal in the future.
