AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I booked in here for a birthday lunch with family. I was surprised to see there was nobody else dining there at midday, but it soon became apparent why! The place was filthy and the staff were swatting flies on to the ground in the dining area. Furthermore, we were unaware it was only wine that was BYO with meals, and the man behind the counter swiftly came over and rudely demanded my handbag and “confiscated” the couple of beverages I had brought. This was fine, and I apologised for the confusion. Consequently, I then bought drinks for the family from his drink menu and we proceeded to look through the food menu. The issue from here is that another man came out and stood over us with his arms crossed watching us the whole time! We all felt very uncomfortable and intimidated to the point where we decided to finish our drinks and go somewhere with a nicer atmosphere and more pleasant staff members. I went to the counter and paid for the drinks. I explained how we didn’t like the feeling of having a “guard” watch over us. He very rudely told me it was the duty manager and that’s his job to guard us. This is not the experience I was hoping for our birthday lunch and didn’t even get a chance to try the food! Therefore, this review is purely based on the poor customer service we received. I would never go back and would not recommend this...

Have never seen or received such terrible service. The food was syrupy sweet, with little flavour, our meals came out at wildly different times. The first meal was nearly cold by the time the last meal came out; there were 9 on our table and each meal came out at a separate time. They brought a carafe of water, at our request, but no glasses, although we asked several times.Eventually I got up and waylaid the server and asked for the glasses which did then eventually arrive. It took around 45mins to serve a single mixed drink. My meal was served on a chipped plate. Those of our party who ordered pork found it very tough. I paid and had to ask for my EFTPOS receipt as it didn't print from the machine; the person accepting my payment had to ask someone else how to print me a receipt. As I was paying, another customer was telling them she was leaving as she would not wait any longer for her meal. Our plates were still on the table well after everyone finished eating and were not cleared by the time I left. Have been here quite a few times for a takeaway as the food is generally very tasty, however the issue is the service. It almost always takes longer than the estimated time and at least a third of our visits have been pretty lacking - once after waiting an age we found it had been forgotten - thankfully the barman gave us a free drink but those who appeared to be the management weren’t too bothered. Another time we found on returning home we had an incorrect meal and, whilst they did deliver fresh to our door, it was “on his way home” rather than rushed to compensate. Another example includes waiting double the estimated time, chasing them up and simply being handed the food at that point with now apology or explanation- had it just been sitting there? Then to get home and find the “free” starter which was chosen at the checkout was missing - when I rang to complain I was offered several extra for free next time I go but really, I don’t think I am likely to bother.
