A small but lovely cafe. It has all the essentials one needs to stay awhile and enjoy delicious High tea with loved ones. Coffee drinks are tasty with varied options to suit your preference. There are baked pastries, cakes and savouries such as pies that are baked daily so one would have to come back the next day to check whatâs in the Display cabinet ready to be served.
Ambiance is great for catchups with friends and has ample seating to fit a group of 6 (maybe up to 8) if the cafe staff have been given prior notice.
Experienced Brunch with 6 people and High Tea the next day with the same number of people; breakfast/Brunch menu has a great selection of all day breakfast fare with an equally Menu of Lunch favorites that would suit oneâs palate.
There are 2 designated parking spaces in front of the cafe but it is first come first served but there are other parking spaces nearby as the cafe is inside a Supermarket Complex (Woolsworth) in Mornington Area.
I suggest booking for the High Tea as youâd be surprised on what deliciousness will be served on the Tiers as itâs not set menu as it depends on whatâs desserts are baked on that day.
Portion sizes for the meals are good for sharing unless very hungry. The menu displays which are Gluten free or can be adjusted to be Gluten free/vegetarian etcetc so can really cater to wide selection of customers.
Iâve become a patron of this cafe and will come again...

After talking to other people, they have experienced this as well. I would not recommend this place for what was once the best "Gourmet Milkshake" in Dunedin and also loud music playing...
Read moreVery rarely do I write a negative review but my experience has sat with me. I got a medium flat white with alternative milk, my normal coffee order. Typically this costs me around $5.50 maximum $6.50 but at Tasse cafe my final charge in my bank was $8.01. The coffee brand used is Robert Harris which is not a particularly nice brand of coffee and my coffee sadly tasted like just milk. I am giving it three stars as the lady at the counter was nice. When Alto and Common Ground are only down the road I sadly wonât...
