A fairly disappointing experience

Dined on a Monday night

We ordered garlic bread to share, generous serving, but almost no garlic taste at all - suggest ordering a side of the garlic butter to go with it if you do

Thai beef salad did not list mushroom, and when an allergy was mentioned the staff basically put the responsibility on the customer, when it was not listed on the menu, it was also so hot it was practically inedible 'the worst Thai beef salad I ever had in my life' coming from someone who orders this dish often.

Fisherman's basket, fish did not smell fresh and the overall experience was not great, chips did not look or taste fresh.

Scotch fillet, the steak was cooked well, the salad was full of capisum, onions and radish, not to my taste. The garlic sauce was more like a lumpy white sauce, not at all appealing, the stuffed potato was only stuffed with capisum and far too much cheese. Ordered a side of garlic butter to make up for the sauce and this came direct from the fridge and was near impossible to cut even with a steak knife.

Didn't get much of a feeling the staff wanted to be there.

Supposedly the meals here are normally nice, but today's experience was subpar and I will personally not...

definitely enjoyed the clean and inviting environment, also the very kind and caring service. amazing and tasty food, also their foods and drinks are prettie reasonably priced, basically as normal prices and would highly recommend to all, last but not lease, i / we would be most definitely buying / eating / and dining again here (a zap) for sure lololol'sss yus yus yus absolutely we will bee hehehehe.. *hence the reasons we absolutely loved and enjoyed it, it was actually quite relaxing as well, which if i'mbeing honest was truly surprising to me considering where "Rose and Crown" is situated, basically right in the entrance / exit smackbang in the middle of every profession/ businesses in the building (hmm hmm right in the middle of like everything), also very very convenient. *(..each to their very OWN experiences and opinions, OÜR experiences, may not be your experiences and YOUR experiences, may very well NOT be OÜR experiences, but that is algoods, because every HUMAN is valid 💯%, honestly these are strictly mine and My peippi Sistah's..) 🥰😍💓💓💓😍🥰 **ThankYou For Your Services, EveryThing's a 10/10 For...

A quaint pub. From the outside it looks inviting and just like a classic english pub. So I had to give it a try. Not so good stuff first. I would say it needs a really good clean and some new chairs as they were very wobbly on the backs. I didn't lean back in case it broke. You get a massive waft of gas as you walk in. The staff didn't look very happy or inviting...maybe just a bad day. The fireplaces make it feel cozy as does the dimmed lights. The food is self service and you pay at the bar. We ordered battered mussels as a starter ($9.60) and they were really good. We also ordered the lunch lamb burger and chicken and bacon sandwich ($18 each). These were both lovely and just the right amount. They have cozy couches around the fireplaces and some to the side. One side has bar leaners and sports playing on the tvs, and the other side is more for meals and...

The wife and I went here on Monday 2nd January 2023. Started with the garlic bread and the wife had the shrimp cocktail. We then moved on to the mains, the wife had the Guinness Stew and I had the 600g rib on the bone (tomahawk steak) All I can say is everything was bloody brilliant. The wife raved about the stew and I had one of the best steaks. Rajdeep was very polite and helpful, as for the lads in the kitchen, awesome food. When we go to Palmerton North we will definitely be back.

My husband and myself decided to go to Palmerston North for the night and go somewhere different for dinner. After plenty of consideration and talking we decided to come here . Boy we made the right decision we started with garlic bread then I had the shrimp cocktail followed by Guinness Stew and for dessert I had a caramel cheesecake. My husband had the 600g rib on the bone (tomahawk steak). We both thougherly enjoy our meal and Rajdeep was ever so friendly
