Our first time dining at The Fat Farmer as a group of 5. The service and food was amazing. The concept is all meals are a sharing platter, a nice way to enjoy food and talk amongst friends and family. We ordered the Southern Fried Chicken w Kimchi and mayo, this was so delicious and juicy. Also the Chicken Bao Buns were delicious as well but more meat would take it next level. The Watermelon Salad I didn’t think I would be a fan of, was actually divine, so nice and fresh and all the ingredients went amazing together. One of the best salads I have ever had and definitely the best restaurant salad I have tried. Then our groups most favourite dish, the Angus Beef Steak. The flavours, the textures, this was absolutely divine and we are all still talking about it! Will 100% be coming back and dining at The Fat Farmer

Came here with my family of seven and was told the menu was made for sharing. Ordered about 5 starters a few mains and a dessert each. Was absolutely disappointed when they came out. It was definitely not something to share. Literally one bite each and it was gone. There was no gauge on how big each starter was or serving size on the menu even the waitress couldn't tell us the reccomend amount to order for a table this size. The service was great. Lovely staff. And I'd absolutely reccomend this place for a date night or to share with a friend. The food we did eat was incredible. The meat you didn't even need to chew as it melted in your mouth and there wasnt a single dish we had that we all didn't love. Just a shame about the serving sizes otherwise an awesome little place.

Great vibe, service, and food. We went here for my mums 70th, it was perfect. We were a group of 4 kids under 12 years old and 8 adults. We had a set menu, which was excellent. Mum was able to switch a few dishes around beforehand, so when we arrived, no decisions had to be made, and we could just relax and enjoy the evening. The bao, prawns, and crispy chicken were excellent. The lamb, green vegetables, and chips were a lot of food. We ended up with quite a bit of takeaway. The staff were excellent! Friendly and efficient. The vibe was great. It's a busy place, really comfortable with casual decor, bar / restaurant vibe, loud yet you could easily hear everyone at your own table. I can highly recommend this place!

So having decided to eat here I went online to read about other diner's experiences. Firstly they mentioned the service. And so shall I. The service is excellent. Not only are the staff pleased to see you but seem really interested in helping you with advice on how to get the most from your evening. And it was busy when we were there. But we had probably 6 visits to our table in the first 10mins of being there. And now the food. Menu items are priced according to whether they are to share or not. $20 means you aren't sharing and $42 means you are. Side dishes however need to be added to make up a complete meal. We chose to share the beef short ribs, side serving of mashed potato and a serving of broccoli. It was excellent. The beef fell off the bone and the potatoes were delicious. To finish we chose to share the sticky date pudding. A fantastic night. It's a busy bustling well organised restaraunt with great food with just the most delightful staff. Throughly...

Booked a table midweek for a girls' night out, and we were thoroughly impressed by the excellent service—the staff truly knows their craft. The menu is designed for ordering and eating as dishes arrive, which promotes a shared dining experience. This setup works wonderfully when dining with close friends or family, though it might not be ideal for a business meal with colleagues. The main dishes were masterfully prepared, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors that resulted in well-rounded plates. However (perhaps because of the high standards of the main dishes), we were slightly disappointed with the desserts and could have done without them. Despite that, we absolutely loved the decor and ambiance; the place has a nice, cozy feel to it. Hats off to the great service...
