So having decided to eat here I went online to read about other diner's experiences. Firstly they mentioned the service. And so shall I. The service is excellent. Not only are the staff pleased to see you but seem really interested in helping you with advice on how to get the most from your evening. And it was busy when we were there. But we had probably 6 visits to our table in the first 10mins of being there. And now the food. Menu items are priced according to whether they are to share or not. $20 means you aren't sharing and $42 means you are. Side dishes however need to be added to make up a complete meal. We chose to share the beef short ribs, side serving of mashed potato and a serving of broccoli. It was excellent. The beef fell off the bone and the potatoes were delicious. To finish we chose to share the sticky date pudding. A fantastic night. It's a busy bustling well organised restaraunt with great food with just the most delightful staff. Throughly...
Read moreOur first time dining at The Fat Farmer as a group of 5. The service and food was amazing. The concept is all meals are a sharing platter, a nice way to enjoy food and talk amongst friends and family. We ordered the Southern Fried Chicken w Kimchi and mayo, this was so delicious and juicy. Also the Chicken Bao Buns were delicious as well but more meat would take it next level. The Watermelon Salad I didn’t think I would be a fan of, was actually divine, so nice and fresh and all the ingredients went amazing together. One of the best salads I have ever had and definitely the best restaurant salad I have tried. Then our groups most favourite dish, the Angus Beef Steak. The flavours, the textures, this was absolutely divine and we are all still talking about it! Will 100% be coming back and dining at...
Read moreBooked a table midweek for a girls' night out, and we were thoroughly impressed by the excellent service—the staff truly knows their craft. The menu is designed for ordering and eating as dishes arrive, which promotes a shared dining experience. This setup works wonderfully when dining with close friends or family, though it might not be ideal for a business meal with colleagues. The main dishes were masterfully prepared, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors that resulted in well-rounded plates. However (perhaps because of the high standards of the main dishes), we were slightly disappointed with the desserts and could have done without them. Despite that, we absolutely loved the decor and ambiance; the place has a nice, cozy feel to it. Hats off to the great service...
