Our first visit to Miss Riverhead and we were really impressed. This building used to be the Kauri Gum Cafe (quite some time ago) and it was quite dark and run down. Walking in now, it is so bright, open, fresh and has an awesome vibe. Feels super clean and fresh. The staff were super lovely and helpful. The cabinet food on offer looked absolutely delicious. My daughter had the Pain au chocolat, which looked amazing, but I didnt get to try it ha ha. I had the Roasted Vege Salad off the menu, which was done absolutely perfectly, such a wholesome wintery treat with all the vegetables cooked spot on. My aunty had the Chicken Avocado Salad which looked fantastic and she rated highly. My Mum had an Orange & Date scone from the cabinet, which was generous in size. Lucky for me, she accidentally left half of it in my car when I dropped her home. I actually can't believe how much beautiful flavor was packed into a scone! Wow. The ambiance is nice. It was really busy when we arrived, so indoors it was quite loud, as it's a very open space with hard wood. Once it was a bit quieter, it was so nice sitting in there, cozy seating etc. I had a coconut milk hot chocolate, it was yummy, not the best ever, but still good. I was also impressed when we arrived and sat down, that the staff bought my daughter over an activity sheet and colour pencils. It's always nice when places think about these little details. The one thing I'd like to see here is disability parking outside the cafe to make it more accessible for everyone. There is plenty of street parking available for able bodied people, so that's not an issue. All in all, we will definitely come back here. What a great, fresh, delicious addition to the area's eateries.

This Cafe has good sun light coming into it which give a nice feel, with a good lay out and nice choice of colour insde and nice future which suites the lay out. A covered in area outside is great for cyclest to drop in for food and a coffee where they can see their bikes outside . The staff were friendly.. The breakfast was nice which came in a short time. And the coffee was good with a nice strong taste to it too.

Tried this new(ish) cafe today. Really lovely atmosphere, food was artisan and delicious. Pricing matched the good quality food. Would recommend they put menus on the tables as it was a bit unclear as to whether you order at the counter or wait for someone to come to your table. Will come again for sure.

I fully endorse the Turkish eggs, 2 poached eggs , accompanied by the cafes sourdough bread , chilli butter, green Harra, almond marjoram the eggs were out of this world in flavourful combination of ingredients with homemade turkish youghurt as a highlight for myself , buttery sensation , beautifully cooked and presented it had this deep fried curry leaf on as a garnish , spectacular and very satisfying on my tastebuds, deliciousness,,best in the northwest so far .cannot wait to go back. Riverhead is an historic village , the premises once housed a museum, in the past as popular Cafes and Indian restaurant, now we are lucky that it graces our beautiful village , beautiful clean presentation, with the most impressive indoor and outdoor seating , , easy to find on school Road Riverhead, highly recommended by me , top ten google maps business...

Loved my visit today! The classic Benny was spot on, fresh, beautifully presented, and the hollandaise had a unique, subtle spice that set it apart. The plate looked modern and elegant, with just the right amount of garnish to make it feel special without being over the top. Coffee was perfect (as Allpress always is), and you can tell the barista knows their stuff. The atmosphere is welcoming, amazing the fit out, and Jess is awesome, the decor, stylish, and the rest of the staff made me feel right at home. It’s clear this place will be, and already is, a local gem, consistently great food, coffee, and service. Can’t wait to come back, especially in summer to enjoy the outdoor space. Five stars, hands down! B & S you...
