A future foodie’s dream come true.
In my opinion, there’s only so much that you can write about a business, before you begin to repeat yourself, but wow…where to even start with this incredible place in Riverhead?
Unfortunately, I was ill the first time that I had plans with my closest friends to dine here one weekend that I was staying, so we had to postpone to another date. When I finally did get the opportunity to come here for dinner…HOLY. MOLY. This place had exceeded well beyond my expectations. The Beekeeper's Wife is absolutely sensational. You are seriously missing out if you haven't had the chance to try the food here.
My best friend and I come here every month now to catch up over dinner as we are both uni students and don't get to see each other very much now. Plus, we live about an hour away from each other. The staff are always so kind and friendly, ready to help you with any issues that you may have. The chefs? Hats off to them, they are absolutely incredible. Their food is out of this world. Every dish that they’ve produced has been breathtaking. I cried happy tears when I dined here for the first time and still do every time that I come here. My personal favourite dishes include the Baked Alaska, which is always made to perfection and The Beekeeper’s Trio, along with the Halloumi Fries.
I’ve absolutely loved my experience with this place so much so that i’ve recently been in touch with the manager, Tia, about coming back for my 20th birthday this November with a group of my friends to celebrate and devour this stunning collection of dishes. She was very quick to answer my enquiry and we now have a date locked in. I am super happy with the way she listened to me and understood what I was looking for.
Thank you so much to the team at The Beekeeper’s Wife, you are absolutely incredible. If I could give you more stars, i'd give you so...
Read moreWe visited the Beekeepers Wife and were immediately informed of a 20 minute wait for coffee with meals up to 40 minutes. That gave us an immediate choice to stay or go and find somewhere else. We decided to stay. The coffee took 15 minutes to arrive and was good. Our breakfast orders were taken and we waited at an outside table for 40 minutes. Then were moved to a table inside. After 10 minutes we were informed that all our breakfast food choices were compromised as they had run out of some of the food for each selection. We decided to order from the lunch menu. To apologize for the fact that we now had to wait yet again for our food the owner gave us a free drink of any sort. These were duly delivered. The lunch orders still failed to arrive and when the clock hit 1pm we had been at the restaurant for 2.5 hrs by this time. The owner once again approached us and by way of further apology offered everything we ordered at half price. We hadn't made a fuss no one was braised off we were happy to sit chat and watch the world go by. Eventually the food arrives and it was all very good mind you we were all very hungry by this time. The owner apologised to us once again when we paid the bill. It was entirely the correct The way that this was handled simply added to our opinion that the food was good and yes it was a bit of a marathon wait but the Beekeepers wife and there staff actually added to their kudos in dealing with a bad situation in the manner that they did. Would I recommend it - ...
Read moreHave had mould in my beer 4 times now after visiting this restaurant around 10. I have also had a few friends report the same happening to them so this is not out of the ordinary. The food is the only stand out point of this restaurant (has been amazing everytime) . The waitresses are always nice and items usually come out on time. However the elder lady - floor manager i assume, is rude and horrid (name starts with S but cannot remember it). The way I hear her speak to some of the staff is disgusting, especially when i can see them doing a fantastic job all night and still getting rude remarks. I don’t know her exact job role but I don’t think walking up and down the restaurant slowly telling off staff is efficient what so ever. It seems as though she forgets customers can hear her, especially there being a bar right by where she stands majority of the time. Saw her nagging the bartender early probably early this year all night long to speed up and to do a better job even though he was working faster than her in the bar whilst also taking drinks out and cleaning glasses etc. He even ended up snapping at her and telling her to shut up and focus on herself which was amazing. Haven’t been here in a couple months so may come again but I hope they do something about this Manager soon and sort out the occurrences of having mouldy beer
Cons: Mouldy beer Rude floor manager
Pros: Great food Friendly...
