Ventured in for dinner today courtesy of a Bookme booking – my wife and I are seasoned First Table and Bookme enthusiasts, always on the hunt for stellar restaurants. We were amped up for an incredible beer experience but were utterly surprised by the food quality. Canyon Brewing QT has skyrocketed to the pinnacle of our favorite dining spots; no exaggeration, the presentation of the food blew us away, and the flavors? Unbelievable!
Let’s talk about those beer tasting paddles – they’re a game-changer. Four glasses, around 250ml each, filled to the brim with an impressive array of beers. We couldn’t resist and went all in with two paddles. My wife had a ball tasting them while I sneakily savored a sip or two of each since I had the responsibility of driving.
And oh, the outdoor area? It’s like stepping into a scenic wonderland. Jaw-dropping views of the hills and the river create an enchanting backdrop that elevates the entire dining experience.
The staff? Top-notch. Friendly, approachable, and full of great vibes. They made us feel like we were part of the Canyon Brewing QT family, offering fantastic suggestions and ensuring our time there was nothing short of fantastic.
Seriously, if you find yourself in Queenstown, this place is a must-hit. We’re spreading the word like wildfire and marking our calendars to swing by every time we’re back in town. Canyon Brewing QT, you’ve sealed the deal –...

We booked a table for 10 adults and 5 children for 3.30pm. We arrived to a table reserved that seated 4 people. Manager asked other guests to move so they could use their table.
Had a few options for for brewed drinks but very limited on spirits. If you love your alcohol ginger beer as much as I do DO NOT try the ginger beer on tap as you will be disappointed. It is not what a ginger beer is usually but more of a fruit cider with a very slight after taste of ginger.
Very limited food menu, with the kids menu was interesting. The kids pasta is not a kids pasta but more of a adult serve. Pasta cooked perfectly for an adult but too firm for a toddler, so spent a few minutes cutting up to a non choking size of pasta.
Then we had a large group of boys turning up and all were smoking or vaping. So our table with 2 toddlers and 2 babies received a lovely cloud of cigarette and vaping smoke. We asked the manager who advised in NZ you are allowed to smoke or vape outside so we just had to move the kids away from the table as staff were clearly not fazed by the situation.
Saving grace was the friendly and fast service. The lady serving us was good and very informative. And our toddler loved the pasta thankfully as she was starving after waiting awhile for the...

Ordered: Tasting Paddle (4: Canyon Gold Lager, Kolsch, Sour, Ripe & Ready), Crispy Chicken Wings with Spicy Kiwifruit dipping sauce, and Wagyu Sliders
Great selection of beers on tap available, just too many to choose from, best to try them out for a good deal on the paddles ($25)
The chicken wings were very tasty with or without the sauce. Portions sufficient and possibly more than what we paid for. The amount of ingredients used to marinate the chicken wings was so much better than what we have ever tasted and tried so far, and is the best ones - highly recommended
The dipping sauce was different, a little spicy but also a little sour from the kiwifruit. There should be an option for a spicier option for those who love spiciness
Unfortunately the sliders were a letdown, the beef was dry and looked a tad burnt. The bottom of the bun was partially hard and wasn't as soft as it was meant to be
Excellent view even though we chose to sit inside due to the cold windy weather
Service was good
Highly recommended to anyone who wants a quick meal in a relaxing atmosphere, with a good selection of beers on tap...
