I got wind of a place in Lincoln that did good pizza. So I said to my friend 'I'll be the judge of that' being a pizza connoisseur myself. I walked into Dalante's and saw the wood fired oven, this looks promising. I saw loaves of bread, this is already looking like an affair to me. I then saw baked goods in the form of donuts, mascapone puff pastry with berries on top.....stop it I said as I forgot I had my girlfriend by my side. I then ordered a puff pastry and a pizza and forgot to consult my girlfriend as at this point she didn't exist....I quickly redeemed myself. Service was great! So friendly and welcoming being a virgin to this amazing place. The food was next level yummy, so simple yet so traditional as it should be. I did ask 'do you serve coffee', unfortunately not but the girl behind the counter recommended a place next door. So I thought while I sin in my new favourite food shop I'll send my girlfriend to get coffee while we waited for the food. 10/10 for everything there. Yummy coffee, yummy pizza and yummy cream pastry.

We’ve visited the shop a couple of times since opening and they have a great range of bread. The shop is quirky and a lot of thought has gone into styling and presentation.

The doughnuts are delicious and if you’re lucky enough to get one when they are warm you are in for a treat.

Last night we tried their pizza for the first time. We bought one of each pizza and experimented with a Grandma D’s special.

The pizzas were flawless, unique flavours. The cheese was excellent and the tomato base was flavoursome. The children loved the pizzas too. Our only “complaint” about the GMaD’s special was that the base was so filling it made it hard to try one of all the other slices.. but the concept was great and we loved the fresh salad on top.
