Saket Indian Restaurant - Prebbleton — Restaurant in South Island

We had dinner here on a reasonably busy night. Special mention to our server Gaurika as she was outstanding, so polite and quick to get us seated and ordered. I could see she was keeping an eye on us without being intrusive- when my partner dropped his fork she quickly replaced it, topped up our water quickly and cleared away dishes/got our mains out quickly when our entree was done

The food was delicious - we ordered the onion bhaji which were cooked perfectly - super crunchy and not dry or soaked in oil, which I've often found when I've ordered them from other places in the past.

Our mains were chicken jahlfrezi and chicken do payaza which were both flavourful and complemented beautifully by the fluffy plain naan.

The restaurant had a lovely ambiance for a nice dinner, not too loud and the toilets were very clean. Prices were very reasonable too.

Overall we thought it was the best Indian meal we'd had in years (and we've had a LOT!) and we can't wait to go back....

Lovely, brand new Indian restaurant in Prebbleton Village and a hidden gem. Everything is a five star experience. Very friendly and attentive service, staff really do their best to help customers with food choices and make guests feel welcomed. Food is just excellent with so many options to chose from, something for everyone’s taste and diet. We were super excited about special vegan menu and extensive vegetarian options. As usual we ordered too much and already after vegetarian plate we felt full , but it was fantastic. For mains the best option is to share multiple small dishes and there are so many to chose from that one needs to come back few times to try everything. Definitely our new favourite Indian restaurant and worth that 10 minutes...

We went mid-week as a party of 5. We found the menu extensive and reasonably priced. Drinks were on a par with most local restaurants. We started with onion bhaji, which were delicious. We then each choose a dish to suit our liking (and hotness). These were served promptly although we later discovered my wife had my meal and I hers - which apart from the serving error also pointed T's to our lack of knowledge of Indian food!
