Somerset Grocer — Restaurant in South Island

Customer service from the older lady ( Blonde ) not in uniform was really off. She served the lady in front of me and when it was my turn, she turned around and started talking to a child who was serving?? But didnt even acknowldge me or acknowledge the fact she just turned around. I had a pick up order which she promptly asked payment for and when i said i wanted to add a drink i felt like it was a real inconveniance. I really like sommerset. But this time was just off.... Plus forgot my sour cream.

Went back and gave them another chance. Was DISCUSTED. There was an IHC person who didnt have enough for a coffee. Owner was making a scene when it was so busy. A lady said shes pay for the coffee and he addressed the line and said no he always does this knowone will be buying him a coffee and told the customer to pay to go away. Degrading. Demoralising. Awful behaviour for a customer...

Sunday brunch was below average. Burnt coffee, creamy chicken and mushroom pasta was swimming in a milk broth, and there were maybe at most 5 small pieces of smoked chicken, approx 70 grams total. One nice asain lady in staff, other younger girls not so friendly. Forgot halumi cheese in vege stack then insisted we show them there was none, after showing staff they came back out and told us there was no halumi, and offered brie, haha. Will not be coming back, don't expect much! do...

Great spot for healthy food options. Well laid out with gift items to purchase and international food items, teas, spices and sweets. Wheelchair accessible and child friendly (there is a basket of toys for the children) menu food and savoury options from the cabinet are consistantly delicious, the sweet options vary more, with them seeming to be either delicious or dry. Overall a popular place for groups or solo diners. Coffee is consistently good and the atmosphere...
