Indian Summer — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

I have heard about this place from colleagues. They speak rev about the place since it is owned by their Co worker. I have read the reviews online and knew that it was not a worth place to visit. Unfortunately, due to work circumstances, l found myself sitting in this place for the first time. I must say that my time here was awful.

I arrived at 1745 hours, we had a glass of water and after about 20 minutes of being here the owner came to ask what we wanted. I ordered goat curry medium. It arrived later and when l told him it was very hot he snapped 😳 at ne and said , " you ordered medium. '

Common, l do cook Indian food at home and l know what medium should taste like. That was unbearably. Later a friend suggested l ask for yogurt which was served for the sake . My other friends enjoyed their food as they ordered mild. I just had to eat the meat and impress my friends who know the owner. On my way home l just wondered 🤔 why should l use $36 on something not worth it. Next time l will not support such behavior or place.

A very awful time . Will not recommend this place to anyone. Thw tables are also very small. A table that can be use dby 2 people was used for 4 people. Ridiculous. If l am paying my money, l want food...

2nd visit here but don't think I'll bother going back. Service isn't slow - it's glacial. We were seated for an hour before the mains arrived. Waitress was - and there 's no real way to say this - an unhelpful and absolutely miserable sourpuss. Why she is even bothering to turn up for work somewhere where she is clearly unhappy is beyond me. She alone loses 2 stars off the rating. Wouldn't have minded the wait if the food was good - but it wasn't. Bland at best. Peshwari naan was awful. Struggled to find any filling in it plus it was undercooked - very doughy. When we ordered wine, waitress came back to say our choice wasn't available. Ordered again and same thing. No apology - perhaps she should make patrons aware BEFORE asking what they want. I rated this five stars before, (but lamented the day they moved from the villa to their nice new location). Said it was always the best, in the area.

Just been here for one of those meals that made me think I must update my review. The place is tidy. The decor is nice. The chairs are comfortable. The staff are friendly. The owner came out to check if we were enjoying the food.

And the answer is Yes. In fact my only issue was trying to scrap up every bit of sauce afterwards and knowing my partner wouldn't let me lick the plate!

So in conclusion the Goan chicken curry (hot, but I suspect she saw my hesitation and toned it down a little) was perfection and is highly recommended. Obvious why the local community feel privateness to have the best local...
