Across the sea, a land of green, Where jagged peaks, a silent scene, Rise from the waves, a sleeping giant, In rugged beauty, wild and pliant. From Cape Reinga's northern reach, Where two great oceans meet and preach, Of ancient tides and forces grand, Upon the sacred, shifting sand. The kauri stands, a sentry old, A story whispered, bravely told, Of centuries passed and spirits deep, While forests rustle in their sleep. Then down the isle, to golden bays, Where sunlit waters gently haze, And kiwis call in twilight's hush, A silver fern's soft, verdant blush. The steam escapes from Rotorua's ground, A rhythmic, bubbling, primal sound, With Māori carvings, red and bold, A culture's heart, a story told. Through rolling hills, of emerald hue, Where sheep graze under skies so blue, The city lights of Auckland gleam, A vibrant, modern, hopeful dream. Below, the capital, Wellington bright, Clings to the hills in fading light, A wind-swept town, with art and song, Where diverse voices gather strong. The ferry glides on Cook Strait's way, To where the Southern Alps hold sway. A canvas painted, white and stark, With glaciers leaving their deep mark. The turquoise lakes, a brilliant sight, Reflect the sun in dazzling light, The Franz Josef, and Fox, so slow, Carve paths of ancient, frozen snow. The fiords of Milford, dark and deep, Where waterfalls in torrents leap, From sheer-cut cliffs, a misty spray, That greets the dawn of every day. And Queenstown calls, with thrill and cheer, Where brave souls conquer every fear, From bungy jumps to ski-slope flights, A land of breathtaking, bold delights. The plains of Canterbury stretch so wide, With braided rivers, side by side, To Dunedin's streets, a Scottish claim, Where history whispers out each name. And far below, the Stewart Isle, A place of quiet, peaceful style, Where little penguins waddle home, And albatrosses silently roam. This land of islands, two and more, A treasure rich from shore to shore. From volcanic fire to glacial ice, A paradise of sacrifice, Of pioneers who built with might, And Māori hearts that hold the light. A Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud, A whispered promise,...
Read moreI visited your Hobsonville location today with my two children, who both have severe allergies to eggs and nuts. When I asked a staff member whether the chicken nuggets in the kids’ meal contained any egg or nuts, she showed me her phone with the packaging of the chicken nuggets and chips but didn’t check the ingredients herself. Instead, she asked me to look them up online.
I then politely requested that she inform the chef about my children's allergies, but she gave me a frustrated look and responded dismissively, saying that the kitchen doesn’t use eggs or nuts but the food may contain traces. She made no effort to confirm the ingredients or inform the chef. After spending 15 minutes unsuccessfully trying to find the information online, I returned to the counter for further assistance, but the staff simply said she didn’t know where to find the information and offered no help. Quite helpless, I could only walk out with my two hungry children.
This is appalling customer service, especially when considering the seriousness of food allergies. Children with severe food allergies are very common these days, and it’s disappointing that your staff did not take basic steps to assist or ensure the safety of the food being served. Imagine if parents had to locate the original food packaging and check ingredients themselves at every cafe they visited. No parent would bother going to such cafes again!
If your cafe cannot provide clear ingredient information, it would be responsible to display a sign stating that customers with food allergies are eating at their own risk. This would help avoid situations like mine, where I had to leave the cafe unable to feed my children due to the lack of assistance.
I hope this feedback encourages you to review your procedures for handling food allergies and to train your staff to provide better customer service...

Honestly quite unhappy. I have been coming to this coffee club for many years ordering through Uber eats and ringing up and picking up, and eating in. I always do my best to support Local businesses and have tried and tried and tried to give chance after chance after chance but almost every instance I have ordered a very simple order of loaded fries without sweet chilli sauce, it’s wrong, every single time it is wrong. How hard is it to simply remove one thing from one of your signature dishes? Today my daughter had to hand the food back Twice as it had like 3 pieces of bacon on it and also no mayo so just fries and rock hard burnt cheese, she was assured the spring onions were under the chips, they are not. There is none at all. When taken back into the kitchen clearly some raw bacon was just thrown in there. The whole bottom of the tray is covered in burnt bits it’s revolting. The last time she had to send it back once and then it had to get completely re made the next time. It’s just not good enough. If I were you I would take the extra 10 min drive and go to Northwest Coffee club. Harry runs a great Restaurant and his staff run a...
