Curry Delight Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Waikato

imma be straight up i was hungry right, so i decided to stop in at this scrumptious looking restaurant come to find out it is an ugly place. so i decided to order a single butter chicken which was normal size it came out as 23.50$ 1st red flag was overpriced food. so since it costed so much we settled for a kids size which was even 14 bucks for a small portion of food. then we got told if was gonna be a 15 minute wait that turned into around 25 mins for a small portion of butter chicken that had already been cooked before we even entered the store. and then when our order finally came out the waiter rushed down the stairs and shook it up so the lid became loose and it stained my clothes when we left. but when our order got placed on the counter the serving lady blatantly ignored it and called our name 3 mins after it had already come out and she just stood there staring at it. so after all that i left and as i was walking as i already stated come to find out the waiter shook it so much to the point were the lid became quite loose and then spilled on my clothes one of the...

We ordered a takeaway on Weds night 5/07/23 The restaurant was busy and I could see that they were understaffed but, Having to wait over an hour for a takeaway is unacceptable. Sure, I expected a bit of a wait but even after an hour they couldn't tell us how much longer our order was going to be. It materialized in around 5 minutes after I had suggested we flag the order and just get a refund.

Having thought about this, what they should have done is stopped taking takeaway orders until they had caught up on the restaurant backlog. Secondly they should have been honest and up front about the expected delay. At least that way the takeaway customer would have an option of whether they wanted to wait for over an hour or not.

The first time i tried this i thought ill be disappointed, i lived in middle east for 12 years and crave for a good Indian restaurant, i have tasted authentic Indian cuisine and fell in love with their tasty dishes, i can say that this restaurant is way better than any other Indian restaurant i visited here in New Zealand. I tried the butter paneer and its lovely ⭐️⭐️⭐️ though the mango lassi needs a bit more improvement, and add more options like buttermilk, and sarbat, love love the indian sarbat.
