Read moreWe ordered a takeaway on Weds night 5/07/23 The restaurant was busy and I could see that they were understaffed but, Having to wait over an hour for a takeaway is unacceptable. Sure, I expected a bit of a wait but even after an hour they couldn't tell us how much longer our order was going to be. It materialized in around 5 minutes after I had suggested we flag the order and just get a refund.
Having thought about this, what they should have done is stopped taking takeaway orders until they had caught up on the restaurant backlog. Secondly they should have been honest and up front about the expected delay. At least that way the takeaway customer would have an option of whether they wanted to wait for over an hour or not.
