Jo Bros Burgers - Titirangi — Restaurant in Waitākere Ranges

As locals we have had JoBros many times dining in, adults and kids have always been very satisfied. However tonight was our second Uber Eats JoBros experience, first was great but tonight was disappointing. We tried kid’s sliders & chips for the first time, they are a much cheaper option but the quality drops right off, perhaps that’s fair, but definitely a different calibre to everything else. More of an issue, our order was flagged as ready, but then we watched the driver on the Uber app sit stationary for pick up for 10-15 minutes and this seemed to be to pick up a second order for someone else, plus another 10 mins to deliver the other order before ours … driving back past JoBros location along the way to us (could’ve just delivered ours first in that time with no extra travel). Not surprisingly our food was cold. This may be more of an Uber issue than JoBros, not sure if they have any say over how deliveries are made, but still a word of warning for delivery. Used to be a massive fan of Jo Bros burgers, however was very disappointed tonight, they have lost a loyal customer. The food truck was at beerspot Morningside and sliders were the only burgers on the menu. 2 beef sliders with fries or 2 chicken sliders with fries, $20 each. We bought one of each and had a slider each. The beef slider was literally a meatball sized patty, sauce and one pickle. No salad. At least the bun was fresh and the meat and sauce tasty. The chicken slider looked better and had salad but the chicken barely had any flavour. The serving size of the fries was pretty underwhelming. Ordered couple of burgers, wedges and shoestring fries from this place take away. The best in my opinion was the fries, probably best shoestring I have had in a long time. Wedges with sour cream was fine too except it is quite expensive $10 a portion. The burgers in my opinion were a let down. I’m not saying it’s bad but if you pay premium for a product I would expect same quality. It felt like an improved version of a McDonald burger and didn’t have a gourmet feeling to it.
